When April 19, 2023 Where Hermosa Smiles Dentistry For What: I went to the dentist for a broken filling on my bottom right molar tooth. The dentist said they would give me a root canal and a crown on that tooth.Issue: The dentist and or her assistances chipped pieces off of two of my top teeth causing my gums to rise and more tooth damage from the crack tooth. When you go to the dentist their not supposed to be touching any of your other teeth. I didn't give them permission to touch my other teeth and to cause more damage to my mouth, so the dentist can charge me more money.

  • Complaint Type:
    Billing Issues
    Status:
    Resolved
1/5/2022 (attached file # 1 & 2) Received dental service from Hermosa Smiles Dentistry (HSD). Total unitemized billed $930. Initial payment of $465 paid by my *********************************************************** on the date. Three additional monthly payments of $116.25 also on file with the same**********. 1/27/2022 (attached file #3) To verify the unitemized bill, a letter from ************ appeals. Instead of $930, the total approved bill is $278.80. According to*************, in 30 days, I should have received a refund of $186.20 from HSD. 2/02/2022 According to ************, a screenshot from HSD was received on the date, shown as proof of refund to **********. Regardless, there wasn't an actual refund to my *********. 3/23/2022 Even with a invalid proof of refund payment from HSD, I was told my case has been closed by ***** ****** without notice. According to HSD office manager, *************, they had the refund done through a company called "******" (unsure the proper spelling). He also explained from HSD record, the refund had been taken away. He insisted I should only check with**********, but failed to provide any proof of transaction. He explained HSD only keep transactions for 30 days regardless of any outstanding issues. 3/24/2022 (attached file #4) After over 80 days being overcharged. The first refund transaction receipt was forwarded to me from HSD. HSD explained the transaction delay was because their prior refund was rejected by *********. The fact is, according to *********, there wasn't any refund rejection history on my account. Also with the refund transaction ID that HSD provided as 3/24/2022, as they told me to wait for 3-5 business days to get through, still nothing posted on AFCU VISA. ************ admitted their mistake in closing my case, but didn't provide any further solution. I'm suffering from being overcharged by HSD. And failed due diligence on my case from ************. Please help settle the prolonged refund case.
