Affiliated with some sort of spam calling / scam operation *********************** They ignore DNC lists, ignore requests to stop calling, and spam with multiple (sometimes more than a dozen) calls per day from dozens of different numbers leaving AI-generated voicemails. Attempts to reach a human operator and asking to not be called result in being hung up on. Following through and feigning interests results in being transferred to a line that allegedly belongs to Amity One. I have been being spammed by this group since late 2023 and after blocking and reporting over 100 different numbers have resorted to blocking all inbound calls from unknown numbers.Business response

This company has telemarketed my cell phone numerous times in the last few months, even though I am on the do not call list. I attempted to reach out to them to resolve the issue, but was ignored. At this point, I need to speak to the company's ATTORNEY or LEGAL REPRESENTATION to resolve this matter. Simply "removing my info and number" will NOT suffice. My next step is to seek legal action against the company, up to and including contacting the ******* State ************************* for assistance.Business response

Amity One account manager ************************* contacted me to open a debt relief account with them. I initially agreed and signed up for the program on April 10th, 2023. However, after doing my due diligence with research, I decided I was not interested in the program by the next day April 11th and cancelled my account. According to their program details, I could cancel my account within three days of opening it without any financial consequences. I went ahead and signed the cancellation form, scanned and sent it via email to **** my account manager and to their debt relief team. I also sent mailed a physical copy of the form to a mailing address they provided in their contract. On April 17th, I realized they still charged my account for $396 through the payment collection arm of AmityOne, another company called FORT DebtPay. I just wonder why such a scrupulous company will still go ahead with charging my account even after they had ample time to process my cancellation request. I have since initiated a stop payment on all transactions emanating from this institution. This is really unprofessional and serves as a warning to other consumers.AmityOne administers their debt relief program through *****************************, so if you do not wish to transact with Alleviate (judging from consumer complaints in BBB), avoid AmityOne debt relief, they are one and the same.Business response

On April 10th ********************************* was contacted by our call center and transferred over to us in hopes of us assisting with them with debt. ************************* handled the call and agreed to sign the client up for the debt plan. The initial payment was scheduled for 4/17 in which the agreement was signed. The client called in on 4/11 and told the Account Manager **** that they wanted to cancel the plan out. **** instructed the client that we need a written and signed copy of cancelation. Throughout the entire process **** was in communication with the client and didnt receive anything from them. On April 17th, the account was charged. We received the online complaint on Monday and immediately started the process of a refund. As of today, the payment was returned to the client and no further action has been taken. I would like to make sure that Amity One did NOT charge their account. This was done by the trust account that was set up for them and their debt management plan. Since we have coached **** on how to better handle future clients that request to cancel out their plan. We consider this matter closed.Initial Complaint
