Unfortunately this gym has gone dramatically down hill. The Zumba class that ***** runs is extremely loud and disrespectful to the rest of the gym. I come to this gym every single day and I pay for my membership just like everyone else. They seem to think they own the gym for 2 hours every weekend with no consideration of others trying to workout outside their horrible music and yelling. I closed the door half way to only be selfishly opened over and over while they turn their music up and yell more. To only have some rat come out and tell me Im a f****** b**** for not allowing them to scream and yell while I have headphones in turned all the way up and asked to close the door half way. This gym smells like **** on top of it so do as you please with this information but you have been warned. Humans these days are entitled and selfish.Review from Kyle C

I signed up and they wouldnt let me cancel over phone. They tried to charge me for 6 months after I moved even when I had told them I was moving. I was informed this would hurt my credit and I feel this is extremely predatory behavior. Canceling a membership shouldnt have to involve being there in person.Review from Luis L

My wallet was stolen from my locker properly locked while working out at this facility! Several credit cards, cash and personal information were stolen and over $2,000 charged to my credit cards. Several other lockers were also broken into the same day. A police report was filed.The desk was unmanned at the time as it is frequently at this ******************* dismissed my complaint and couldn't care less about what happened. They didn't even offer an apology.This is "a very unsafe place" considering that anyone could or can access this facility and go into the men or women lockers without management challenging them in any way - and do as they please.Review from Maddie C

I contacted them directly first but no response. I will give you a summary of my negative experience. Late December my local LA fitness was having a ***** per month promo. My friend and I were going to join online. I had a few questions so called first. I was sent to **** ( the " gm"s voicemail) He reached out soon after and we scheduled a day to meet to sign up. I knew he wanted us to come in due to commission so we obliged. Before hanging up I asked him when the promotion ended as I did not want to miss out. He said it is through December 31st and they had just gotten a " blast" from corporate. I called him prior to that date to let him know we were heading there. It was then he told us that the promotion ended and he made a mistake. Well needless to say we were extremely upset as this meant we'd be paying 600 more per year for the two of us!! Totally unacceptable. After several texts back and forth he basically said he could not do anything about it. He then offered his friends and family discount and would check with boss if he could give us a credit for several months to absorb the difference. Then we never heard from him again.Come to find out **** ( the "general manager") evidently is no longer there. I discovered this when I called again and some other person who was transferred there from another gym answered. He was very UNapologetic, offered me a "special" which was not at all special and said he was brought there because the gym is in trouble. He said he'd get back to us after he spoke to his boss, but I never heard from him again.Bottom line is we got wrong information and no one would assist us to make it right. Doesn't seem like it's an insurmountable task for this big corporation to honor the ***** per month membership.Hoped someone at LA ***** was able to get this approved as this was in no way due to our negligence. Tried to cancel my membership in person twice. Each time I was told that I had to do it in person between 9am - 5pm M-F despite informing them that it was not possible with work. I could get a membership at any hour but severely restricted as to when I could cancel. Not until multiple visits asking to cancel was I provided an email to cancel my membership. In the time between the first request and being provided an email, I was charged the annual fee which I was told is unrefundable despite my efforts to cancel my membership. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. This gym is one of the worst I ever belonged to. All the amenities are a joke. The sauna, pools, and gym are all usually scheduled for repair. They take your fee every month but provide little in return. Shameful. The management is horrific.Review from Sardor T

I have a membership at this gym and was given a free three-day pass for my mom. However, when we arrived, we were stopped and told that she needed to get a membership instead. When I questioned this, pointing out that the pass clearly stated it was for three days, I was told it was only valid for one dayeven though I had already signed all the required paperwork for the full three-day pass. This felt misleading and like a bait-and-switch tactic. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.Review from Sa P

If I could leave a zero star, I would have. They told me that I can enroll my partner at the gym and all I had to do is pay first and last month plus some other fees and after that all I had to pay was my monthly fee and that he didnt have to pay any more fees except it was a huge lie and the next day when I went to the gym to cancel his membership, the general manager, ****, said they dont do a refund at first and the told me I have to wait 45 minutes so he can finish sending emails then he maybe could help me. I told him I had to leave work an hour early to because they only cancel membership 9a-5p and now you are telling me to wait 45 minutes? He said he works till 7pm on Wednesday which was the next day and that if I come tomorrow he could help me. I went again the next day, but his assistant told me that he had left early. I went again for the next few days and he wasnt there. Finally I gave up and told my credit card company to dispute the charge which they did. But LA fitness forces the charge again which was $115 and then another annual fee of $63. My partner never stepped in the gym to enroll himself but I am told that I can not get a refund. I called their headquarter and they told me they can not do anything because it is too late but all they could do was refunding me the $63. **** doesnt know how to run that gym and the gym is a mess and you cant even find any dumbells on their place. All he cares is getting more members. After seeing how he treated me and I lost money, I canceled my membership as well.Review from Jillian B

YOU GET 0 STARS. YOUR FACILITIES ARE FILTHY AND NEVER CLEANED. THE INDOOR POOL DECKS ARE GROSS WITH BANDAIDS AND HAIR LAYING AROUND FOR DAYS UNTIL WE ASK FOR SOMEONE TO CLEAN IT UP. THE POOL TEMPERATURES ARE FREEZING AND NOT CONSISTENT WITH WHERE POOL TEMPS SHOULD BE. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OCCASSIONS WHERE THE CHEMICALS ARE NOT BALANCED AND WATER IS CLOUDY. TODAY, A MEMBER REACHED OUT TO NOTIFY ME THE CARD ON FILE WAS NOT WORKING AND NEEDED AN UPDATED CARD. I HAD TO CONTACT BACK BECAUSE I WAS IN A MEETING. THE PERSON CALLED AGAIN AND LEFT A MESSAGE WHEN I TOLD HIM SPECIFICALLY I WOULD CONTACT THEM BACK AT MY CONVENIENCE. HE LEFT A VOICE MAIL AND I WENT AHEAD AND UPDATED MY CARD INFORMATION ON THE **** I WAS CHARGED A $5 LATE FEE WHEN DUES ARE AUTO WITHDRAWN ON THE 28TH. THEY WILL NOT REVERSE THIS FEE. THIS COMPANY IS STEALING MONEY FROM MY POCKET AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO SINCE I TOOK IT UPON MYSELF TO UPDATE THE CARD INFO VS CALLING THEM BACK ON THE PHONE. THIS COMPANY HAS HORRIBLE SERVICE AND PRETTY SURE RUNNING IT ILLEGALLY AND NOT FOLLOWING STANDARD BUSINESS LAWS.Review from Merna S.

Always canceling classes and never hiring new iinstructors. Im writing about canceling classes and making up reasons that arent true. Canceling morning classes and never putting it on the schedule in advanced. Morning yoga gone and no replacement instructor. Back to back Monday morning class canceled said bcu of flooring and we been dancing and exercising on floor as is. Manager doesnt even know how to work the surround stereosystem in the gym so we can have music when were doing Zumba and as a replacement instructor.. Gym is losing a lot of returningcustomers because of this issue.
