I went onto my ****** account to look up an item I ordered from ****. I noticed a payment had just come out of my bank account to a ******************************************* **** I immediately looked at it to see what it was because I didnt recognize the name but there was no information. As I looked back over my transactions I saw that I was charged from this same company on the 3rd of last month. So I went back another month. Again a 20$ charge on 9/3. As I scrolled back through I found I was charged 20 every month since last May 2023. I immediately messaged ****** because I had never heard of this company. Then I tried looking them up which there was no site etc. all that came up was many things saying they were a scholarship scam. It led to your site where you talked about how these scammers act like a company that handles scholarships and then gets your info. After giving it some thought and then more reading I saw a name like scholarship owl or something owl. Which I then remembered that name when we were looking with our daughter last year for scholarship monies for graduate school. We were told by the university to look into the many scholarships that were out there and we went online and looked. If I recall this was supposedly like a hub where different available scholarships could be applied for. I dont remember but I think it did require like a one time fee to supposedly access the information. However, Ive been charged 380$. And there never was any scholarships etc. we had to take out a loan. I would like my money back from them because it was most definitely a scam and fraudulent. Thank You!!!

I have recently noticed that I have been charged $45 quarterly over the past year to Scholarship Owl, totaling to $270 they have taken for me. When I went onto the site to cancel this, it says I still have the free membership. I have never plugged in any card information or bank information into this website and am appalled at the fact that it has been doing these underhanded charges to my account. The fact that this site is for younger people to ********* with scholarships and this is what they do is horrible and disgusting.

Started the service in 2/21 and canceled in July 2/21 after my son received a generous scholarship offer from his school. Have logged into the account and it says its a free account and asks to upgrade but Ive been charged $45 quarterly in Sept. 21/Dec21/Mar22/Jun22. Ideally would like a refund.

I was investigating your case and here is what I found out. We were able to locate 2 accounts under 2 different email addresses. The account associated with the following email address ********************* is FREE and that is the reason you were not able to see the membership status or cancel the subscription.

There is one more account under the name *********************** under this email ********************* that has an active Quarterly subscription with ScholarshipOwl. Please know that is the reason for the charges. Unfortunatelly I was not able to see any of the previous cancellation requests in our records.

I went ahead and processed the $90 refund in your name for the past 6 months, however, I was not able to proceed with the refunds on the transactions older than 6 months. I am in touch with our ***************** negotiating for the 2 more transactions, once I hear from them I will get back to you.

Once again, I am very sorry about the misunderstanding and I wish that you contacted our support team earlier.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

    ****

I hope we will get the chance to change the status into resolved, looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best,

    ****
