            I wished to purchase metal business cards with NFC capability to be more environmentally friendly. With NFC, you should be able to tap the card against someone's phone and it automatically updates and adds your contact information onto someone's phone. Before a major conference, I purchased 6 cards. It was not until my group was at the conference that we learned that the cards did not work. When we first contacted them about the issue, they said that they do not recommend using NFC with metal, because there are a lot of issues. This is stated no where on their website. When trying to get a refund, they stood by their 30 day refund policy and were going to do a re-print of the cards not using metal. While our team decided what to do, the 30 days lapsed and now they are only offering a partial store credit if we return all of the defunct cards. Given that this whole situation could have been avoided if their marketing materials were accurate we would not be in this situation. Their own terms of use (legalese that most customers do not read), there are VERY anti-consumer aspects which illustrate that they are not a fair business. Link to the terms --> https://mymetalbusinesscard.com/terms-of-use - "My Metal Business Card will not be liable for any damages or injury, including but not limited to, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials in this site, even if there is negligence of My Metal Business Card." --> They are not liable for any damages even if they are negligible. Is this even legal? - "My Metal Business Card will not be liable for any damages or injury caused by, including but not limited to, any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation of transmission, computer virus, or line failure." --> They are not liable for any product failure. Is this legal? - "The material in this site could include technical inaccuracies" Cost = $516.50
