  3/21/23 I took my car over to US Smog Check to do a smog test. My engine light was on at that time, but I thought the store employee would let me know if that would affect the test result or not. But instead, he told me that my engine light was on AFTER he done the test and charged me $51. The test failed due to the misfire error code in system. Few days later, my cars engine light turned off by itself and I thought it was time to do the retest. So I went to the same store for retest on 4/1. I made sure to let the same store employee know what happened exactly to my car, but all he did is checked the car system and told me to drive 80 more miles and come back to him to check again. However, I had drove over 600 miles ever since the engine light went off due to my long distance to work everyday. I tried to tell him about that, but all he said was to drive another 80 miles in a very unfriendly tone. He said I was wasting his time and that he was busy. I couldnt get more information as he walked straight back to the shop. I followed his advise and drove another two weeks. On 4/15, I took my car for an oil change at an auto repair shop in LA, and told the owner about this smog story. The owner then checked my cars system and told me that the error code will need to be manually cleared in the system history in order to reset. And after reset, I would need to perform some driving cycles in order for the system to obtain data to pass the smog test. That means another week of driving. Today (4/22), I went back to US Smog Check and have them do a retest. The same rude employee came and told me because I missed the one month retest opportunity by one day, he will have to charge me the full price of smog test. I told him the story and that I was late because of his false suggestion but he said that it wasnt his business!! He wouldnt let me do a retest but wanted to charge me another full price
