    word to the wise, use a temporary credit card to buy into this service. I did that by habit with them and it saved my a** They illegally charged my temp card which was turned off (thank goodness) without any notification. It was 3 months before the end of my 2 year plan. Anyway, we got past that debacle and ive been with them for least 4 years and every 45 days they send an email that they are going to add new features and that I should buy another 2 year plan to avoid rate increase.....well to my absolute surprise, I discovered on Feb 5th 2025 that their developers removed features! Thee feature that convinced me to get into this service has now disappeared. How can the employees of voipo sleep at night? I'm at a loss for words. Robbers?

    I have been billed six times over the last six months for a three-year extension of my service on 2 lines since August 12, 2024. That's a three year extension each month and I'm now paid up through year 2037. That $2200, six times $370. And the math doesn't even add up. I should be paid up through year 2042, so the fraudulent billing was itself fraudulent.I want to say that his is an innocent mistake, but BBB has reports right here of this happening to other people over the past 6 months. Would it not be logical for Voipo to take a look to see if this happened to more accounts than just the ones with complaints? Well, not so if I'm an example. I strongly suspect they wait for complaints before acting on them. They either knew about this, or they are real stupid or lazy in not auditing this situation after it happened to others in the same time period.The owner of the company has apologized to at least one person here, implying he works hard as a single owner turning down offers from other companies, ya-da, ya-da, but where is the action in this billing malfunction that has happened to other accounts. I should have been automatically flagged and given a refund with apology many months ago. Had I not caught it now, this would continue I'm sure. I'm now cursed with having to audit my account for the decade or more I've been with Voipo.I have emailed them and they say that their billing department is swamped and it may take awhile, so I'm not taking action just yet. But in two weeks my six month dispute window expires with my credit card company, so soon I'll file a dispute with them if this is not resolved.This is being written as a warning to others. Watch those recurring bills! There are folks out there ready to take advantage of lax bookkeeping. ("Oh, we're so sorry...", they say when caught.)Excellent service, by the way. No complaints there.

    I have been a VOIPO customer for years. I have been fraudulently charged for early renewal ($185.00) 8 times to my credit card. I submitted an on line trouble ticket with several months ago with no solution or update. The toll free number for support hangs up on you. Then they send a message indicating if you contact them you will be put at the end of the line for service. This company should be investigated and criminally charged. It is happening to a lot of customers with out any resolve.     I have had a VOIPO telephone line for several years at my prior home because cell phone coverage there was spotty. VOIPO provided adequate service, until I relocated to my new home and attempted to discontinue my account. Back in January of 2024 I returned the VOIPO adapter and receipt was acknowledged by the company. I repeatedly requested by email that service be discontinued. Subsequently, repeated emails to customer service went un-answered. Repeated phone calls to customer service failed due to unusually high call volumes and I continued to be billed for service I did not need nor want. The company claims that I owe them $1480. This unauthorized billing seems to be systematic and intentional.

    I agreed to a 2 year service for $***. and was billed on 10/24/2024. I was billed again on 11/14/2024 for $***\ 11/28/2024 for $185 12/10/2024 for $*** OVERCHARGED FOR $550.00 I contacted customer service through email and support. I was advised it was a "billing error and did I want credit" I replied NO I was a refund I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges made on 11/14,11/28 and12/10. This is extremely frustrating and stressful. No one answers the phones at customer service number. I am no longer receiving responses via email. I want my credit card inofrmation deleted from your systm and immediate resolution. Thank you.

    I am also having the same issue as others below. I have been charged for FOUR renewals in the last few months. I get no response from contacting the company thru support tickets or phone calls. FURIOUS! Have been with them for years.

    Came here to file a complaint. Same story. 3 times this year, they have billed my credit card. Like others, I missed the first. The last two I caught. Opened a support ticket over a months ago, no response. Tried chat, but it's offline. My mother is also a customer, and I just found out today that they have done the same thing to her. We will both be reporting this to our credit union tomorrow.

    I've been with VOIPo since 2011 with minimal issues. It seems that this year they created some huge problems. They began processing account "renewals" when accounts were not even close to renewal time. My credit card was charged five times during the last 5 months for 2 year (early) renewals, all of them unauthorized. Judging from the many reviews posted on BBB and the complaints this is not an isolated incident or computer glitch. Either of those would have been long corrected during the last half year. Sad to see what once was a good company go down the drain.

    Interesting note to add .. my support ticket at Voipo has received no response at all in a week. Yet another review I posted was immediately noted and acted on by Voipo - the review, not the unauthorized charges. Perhaps BBB reviews are less important since they are not used in the calculation of the business; rating.

    Lilke many others, VOIPO fraudulently charged my credit card for $185 on Oct 14th. The first rep I spoke with on Oct 14 said that it looked suspicious, and put in a request to reverse the charge. No reversal has happened.The 2nd rep I spoke with said that he was told it was due to a "software update error". Well, folks, update errors do not affect many folks over a span of several months, and definitely do not involve credit card charges. This looks like they are running low on cash to fund operations, and are resorting to illegal means to do so. Just my opinion.
