On 10/23/2023, I made a purchase of $180.00 + ***** ********* tax at the Istanbul Home store at *************** in ********* DBA ****************, *********************************** When I returned home to Virginia, I reviewed my purchase receipts. I noticed that an 18% tip in the amount of $34.91 was added to my receipt. This is the amount in dispute and for which I want a refund. I left a detailed phone message on 11/20/2023 at 15:30. The call was not returned. I sent an email on 11/21/2023 with the information and requested a phone call or email in return. I did not get a response. On 11/22/2023, I sent an additional email. This time, I said I would contact the BBB, **************** and/or media outlets. That evening, I received a phone call. I am not sure to whom I spoke as his accent was very heavy and I could not understand him very well. I explained the situation again. He informed me that his store was not able to add a tip to a purchase. He said the customer would have to do it. I asked why in the world would I or anybody expect to pay a tip on a retail purchase. He then asked who helped me in the store. I said I did not know. I do not customarily ask for the name of a clerk in retail stores. He asked me if I would consider a store credit. I explained that I lived in VA and have no plans to return to CA. I said that I wanted a refund. He said he needed to speak to the clerk, asked for me to send a copy of the invoice and he would get back to me. I did and never heard back. On 11/30/2023, I sent another follow-up email and I have not received a response. If I somehow accidentally hit a button to add a tip, I cannot know. Why would a store have such software? This seems tricky to me for that option to even be in a retail store and then for the clerk to chat with me while I'm signing the check. My attention was directed to the conversation instead of the receipt. This is just wrong on every level. Can you help me get a refund of $34.91?

Oct 6 2022 I went into ******** home, with a friend from out of town. she saw something she liked, so I made it a gift for her. It was to be shipped to her home Oct 15 2023. I was told they would make me a good deal $250.00 including shipping. A couple dats later My friend found something she liked better. She told me to canceled the order. On Oct 8 2022. I called them to cancel. They were not happy about it. So I had to get my bank involved. As it turned out they charged my debit card not the 250.00 as i was told but 273.75. My bank made them refund my account. Oct 11 2022. There was a credit to my account for 273.75. Dec 2 2022 a new charge on my debit card for 273.75 from that store has appeared. I have not returned to that store. I did not authorize this charge. obviously they are just trying to steal money from me. I can provide documented proof if need be. I chose to go paperless with my account and we'll have to request printed forms. I would like them to reimburse my account and return the receipt they are using to access my card. I think they should be held accountable for their fraudulent actions.
