My vehicle ******************** was involved in an accident on February 5, 2022. My vehicle was towed to Sidle's Automotive (suggested by *****) that same day. Sidle's had my vehicle from February 5, 2022 to August 16, 2022 while giving me nearly zero updates as to the status of my vehicle. When I picked my vehicle up on August 16, 2022, it STILL was not fixed. I explained the situation to **** at Sidle's, who acknowledged that the vehicle was not fixed while telling me to take it somewhere else to get the rest of the problems handled. Specifically, Sidle's removed my axle and sent it to a shop (**********s) that has never seen a ************* axle (without my consent) and couldn't figure out how to fix it ***** had to send the axle back to ********** because they didn't fix it properly and it's still not fixed properly). As a result, I drove my vehicle home and parked it in my garage until I could take it to a new mechanic (*************). ***** at ************* drove my vehicle and immediately acknowledged that there were issues, but **** at Sidle's told my insurance company that they gave my vehicle back in "perfect condition", which is why ***** has denied my supplemental claim to fix the remaining issues directly connected to the February 5, 2022 accident. For **** at Sidle's to tell my insurance company that my vehicle was in "perfect condition" when I picked it up is a bald faced lie based on the fact that, immediately after picking up my vehicle, I had to replace the hydraulic hood arm that didn't work. I also had to replace the wheel center caps that were both smashed from Sidle's mishandling of my car parts. **** decided to credit me back the cost to replace those center caps and deduct it from the deductible I owed him. In addition, Sidle's replaced some metal parts with cheap plastic knockoff parts that I now have to fix out of my pocket.

Consumer Response /* (-5, 8, 2022/10/22) */ The only situation that has been resolved is with regards to the plastic/metal pieces. I was under the impression the parts were inferior, but they are not. Instead, they were not installed properly. One of the two parts doesn't lay flat and curves upward off of the flat surface.
