  I signed a 15 week contract on May 15, 2024 with Iconic Book Publishers to have my book published. This included an ebook on 20 different platforms, a website and ************************** Seven months later all I have received is an ebook online. However, the file they published wasnt approved by me. It is full of computer glitches from their AI program they use for editing.I have talked to someone at Iconic with the title of compliance officer. He agreed to refund half my money and directed me to another person who never answered the call nor has he returned my call. Now the compliance guy has ghosted me and wont return my calls.I feel I have no recourse because they are playing a kind of shell game. They dont answer the phones and dont reply to text messages or emails. I was told I had to purchase a ******************* Control Number for $500. This was above the total of the agreed contract. I paid the money and have asked repeatedly for an email receipt showing proof of purchase. I have been promised for several months now that he will email it to me. Of course I have received nothing of the kind.This is obviously a scam and I need some kind of compensation. At the very least they need to be shut down to protect hard working American *******!

  Contacted ICONIC book Publishers to edit, format and put publish my book on May 20th, 2024. A man named *** ******* interrupted a phone call I was on with the editor, **** ****** and demanded I send them $8000 to protect my book since he said the cover would get a lot of attention and the my manuscript was so well written the it could easily be made into a movie. I refused, since I did not even have the actual book in my hand nor was it even done. They had just started the editing. I have paid them money and still have not recieved the hardbacks or paperbacks I ordered. They tried to extort more money form me which caused me to close my bank account. paid the fort $250 and would pay another $250 when the book was completely done and approved by me. Since then, this company put book on Kindle without my permission, the content of the kindle book is unreadable with incomplete sentences, Nothing like my manuscript. Than a fake one showed up on ******. Iconic books could not explain it and said that someone took a picture of my book and put on ******. They would not take care of it and I had to spend 7 hours on the phone with Amazon/ KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) with ***** and the *********** just to get the fake on removed. Then the paperback with the price showed up when the Editor said the manuscript was done and within 2 days it disappeared. I called the editor **** ****** and ********* ***** the head of ***************** who asked me for $3000 to protect the book for a **** (world intellectual property organization) registration to put my book on 20 platforms. They told me they could not mail me my book until I had paid them $3000. So I paid them but still did not receive my book in the mail. I spoke to both **** and ********* and told them I felt they were a scam and was going to have to hire an attorney. They refunded me $3000 but still did not mail me the books. I never received the books I paid for and they owe me $628. I've been scammed. HELP
