On January 7th 2025 , I dropped off my 2020 Escalade for an estimate at Alfred ******* body shop and collision center at *********************************** Modesto ca *****. January 8th I got a voicemail from ****** at Alfred ******* saying that unfortunately they would not be able to repair my vehicle due to their company policy not allowing them to work on previously salvaged vehicles.I picked up my vehicle January 8th but noticed shift damage to the front bumper that was not there when I had dropped it off.I spoke with ****** from the body shop about the damages that had occurred and he said he knew nothing about the damage to the front bumper but would talk to the manager about reviewing camera their footage to see if it had occurred at their shop.****** called me January 14th and said after reviewing their cameras, they did find that one of their employees had bumped into my vehicle, causing the damage to my vehicle. He offered to repair the damages at their shop but would not pay me for the damages or allow me to have it fixed elsewhere.

We offered to repair front bumper that was damaged on our lot but customer didn't respond for a few days and then told ****** ****** that he had authorized another body shop to fix it.

    Customer response

    02/07/2025

I am rejecting this response because: Alfred ******* told me they couldnt do any work on my vehicle due to their company policy of not working on previously salvaged vehicles. That is the reason why I chose another shop for repairs. Im seeking reimbursement for the damages done to my vehicle at Alfred ******* body shop.

    Business response

    02/11/2025

Alfred Matthews representatives offered to repair the damage caused by us the day after it happened.

I was not contacted by Alfred ******* untill a week later, after you reviewed footage of your cameras. Can you please reimburse me for the damage caused at your body shop.

I bought a 2023 GMC ****** 1500 truck from this dealership. I bought bumper to bumper extended warranty for 6 years or ***** miles for $2100. I sold my truck 2 months ago, and I contacted the dealership regarding my warranty refund. When I sold my truck, I had ***** miles on it. The dealer (****; finance manager) didnt pay my full refund. They cut almost $600 of my warranty refund even though I didnt use any warranty service to my truck. The agreement was to use the extended warranty after 3 years or ***** miles. Based on my conversation with the finance manager, I was supposed to get a full refund of $2100 in the event I sell my truck. The finance manager lied to me and provided me the wrong information in this agreement. I want to file this complaint against the dealership. Please contact me via my email or phone number for additional information. Thank you

    To whom it may concern,

When a vehicle with an **************** contract is traded in or becomes a total loss though an accident the miles and time of contract determine the prorated value returned to the customer.  Mr ******** was never told he would get all the money paid for the **************** contract refunded if it was never used.

    Customer response

    01/13/2025

I am rejecting this response because: Alfred ******* GMC (finance manager) did not explain none of this to me. He did not provide me the prorated policy, or it does not show on that attached form that I signed. They tricked me into this scam by signing one form with explaining the rest of the terms or conditions of this warranty. He told me verbally that whenever you wanted to cancel your extended warranty you get your full refund. He also told me that *** usually give three years or ***** miles warranty, and the extended warranty starts after ***** miles until ***** miles. I sold my truck with ***** miles and deserve a full refund of my extended warranty money. I did not use my extended warranty a single time. I have my wife as witness when we purchased my truck and this warranty. This is totally unfair, unacceptable, and fraud that *** put the costumers into this contract by lying and stealing costumers' money. I will continue with this complaint and make sure this never happens to other costumers.

    Thank you

Purchased a 2023 diesel Yukon Xl on the first day I drove it home the vehicle turned shut off when it was on the auto stop feature and the check engine turned on. Returned back to dealership and they checked the vehicle and assured me nothing was wrong and to take it back the following working day to have it checked. Technician removed the check engine light and drove it home. The vehicle was given to me with a dent on passenger side and with upper rails damaged from transport so they said they would replace them once they received the parts. The vehicle has turned off on me multiple times and have not been able to resolve the issue. The dealership spoke to engineers and stated that it was a diesel #2 that I had to pump which I have been doing. I have been to the dealership over 10 times for different issues. This was my dream truck that was pre ordered to my liking and needs for me not to be able to enjoy it safely when having my children in the vehicle. I have anxiety thinking that one day it will turn off causing an accident to myself or other people and have to deal with the damages because GMC has not fixed the issues. GMC is aware of the situation with this type of engine in which they stated that it only happens to vehicles in ********** due to the diesel we have but they still ship and sell those vehicles in **********. People need to be aware of this situation so they dont purchase this vehicle and suffer the consequences like I am now.

On 9/21 I purchased a used 2020 ***** Silverado from Alfred ******* not knowing the vehicle was involved in a moderate accident with the previous owner. When I purchased the used truck from Alfred ******* they did not have a Carfax report, they used a report called Auto Check. On the AutoCheck report printed on 9/21 it showed no accidents. But when I recently looked at the Carfax report the truck was in the accident on 7/20 and shows the whole back end and front end of the truck was damaged. Even now the Auto Check report shows no accidents. I contacted Alfred ******* to explain to them what I found and they continued to say they didnt know about the accident and they no longer use Auto Check for reports. I feel they neglected to run the Carfax report and should refund me my down payment, all 21 payments I have made, all of the after market parts I installed on the truck, and buy back the truck.

Responding to complaint ID ********. At the time of purchase our dealership used Experian AutoCheck for vehicle history and there was no damage reported and currently it is the same with AutoCheck. I started a claim with ****** and asked them where they got there information as there is no police report or collision center information and they refused to divulge it.

My GMC truck broke down on in the evening of 3/24/2022 and I had it towed to the nearest GMC service dealership of the city I was currently at in *******************. The morning of 3/25. Upon inspection at **************************, the diagnostic resulted as my Differential bolts were loose and one missing bolt causing the 4X4 which was never used up until that day of 3/24/2022 to fail once engaged causing the driveline to break which hit the oil filter causing all the oil to come out the engine causing the bar to break. The service advisor has also concluded that this was a previous workmanship issue . Therefore, I called and spoke to ***** at the service department of Alfred Matthews dealership of which my current warranty was still covered under for two years from which my truck was previously repaired for due for the exact same issue that cause my truck to break down again for the same parts and repairs that was done by Alfred Matthews in 2021 and was warranted by the for another two years. ***** was communicating with myself and the service manager ***** at GM rancho dealership ******************* awaiting final approval for the repair which should only be about a few days. Its been 10 days now and I come to find out now that ***** all of a sudden quits Alfred *******. Now Im speaking to ****** at Alfred ******* and he is sayin the owner advised him to let us know he is now refusing to repair my truck from which I currently have warranty under from their own existing GM and parts workmanship issue. Alfred Matthews is refusing to repair their workmanship warranty and making assumptions on why my truck should not have broken down due to their own assumptions and without physically seeing the vehicle nor getting an ASC certification mechanic to inspect my truck. This has been ongoing for 10 days now and I am without a vehicle and no resolution. I want Alfred Matthews to take responsibility and repair my truck no cost to me me and to honor my warranty.
