*********************** came in on 12/19/2023 with his 2015 Silverado with ******* miles and his vehicle had codes for the high pressure fuel pump and the oil pressure control solenoid. He had us repair these issues to the sum of $4,598.56. He brought his vehicle back in on 2/12/2024 with ******* miles. *** vehicle has been diagnosed with a misfire on cylinder #6 (do to lifter and possible camshaft issue). He came in to the shop and we took him back to another Silverado that had the intake off the engine. We showed him exactly what was done on his vehicle on the previous visit and that neither repair would have anything to do with lifters or loose of compression on cylinder #6.We sat and he explained that he just spent $4,500 and he shouldnt have any other issues.  We told him that as unfortunate as it is, there are still many other components to his engine that we didnt replace and they could still fail. We did however tell him that we would run a ** calculator on the repair and see if ** is willing to help him with any assistance. We ran the ** calculator and talked to our Chevrolet District Manager to get assistance to see if they would give any assistance.  Being that the vehicle is substantially out of warranty they would not normally cover anything.  However, we were able to get ** to give *********************** a 50/50 split, (** will pay $3,500, and *********************** will pay $3500. Our Service Advisor spoke to *********************** on Wednesday February 21, 2024 and he has authorized us to proceed with the repair.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at ********************************* otherwise please close out file.

    Kind regards,

    *******************

Date of transaction 5/15/2023. Car was taken in for repairs and the issue has not been fixed. A warranty repair shouldnt take more than 30 days.
