    On Feb. 07, 2022, I paid American Diesel $20,283 to replace the ******* On 08/01/2022 they asked for another $1801 to replace the valve body. American Diesel replaced engine with Jasper ******* Jr. also suggested I replace the turbo. He said it's "not if, but when" it will go out. Said it would be cheaper now. They put in the wrong turbo, many wrong parts. This caused computer to send false signals of bad valve body. Numerous trips back and forth stating truck was done. Continuous problems... After ***** months they stated truck was finished. Terrible problems continued. Took truck to new shop. Discovered wrong turbo installed which caused all problems, including valve body. Very shoddy work, missing brackets, loose hoses and broken caps. Had to purchase another new valve body because American Diesel said they didn't have the codes, they discarded them..? According to transmission mechanics I've spoken with, you always log the codes. It's the only way to communicate with the ******* After new valve body instal, all questions were answered about American Diesel. Cost me an additional $8000 to get my truck back running with no further problems. Filed a complaint with ****** of **** Repair. American Diesel told them that I asked for that turbo??? Hello, I'm the consumer not the professional. At no time did I ever ask for that turbo. I didn't even think about replacing the turbo until Jr. told me I should because of the miles on the truck. This facility should not be in business. I'm sorry I learned the hard/expensive way. Yes, I could take them to small claims court and undoubtedly win. However, then you have to collect the money. In this state.....good luck. In my 57yrs I have never written or filed a complaint. There is so much more to this story. I have photos of the 2 boxes of wrong parts that had to be taken off and replaced with the right ones. At this point I would just like to get the $8000 back that it cost me to get the truck running right.

    Hello *******,

    It was nice speaking with you earlier. As we discussed the complaint with **************** was determined to be at no fault of American Diesel by the ***.

    **************** contacted and ***; ****** of ********** Repair who conducted an investigation into ****************** claim. We supplied the inspector with all our parts records, ****************** invoice and paper trail while repairing his vehicle, as well as showing the inspector ****************** faulty parts that we replaced. The *** found that we repaired all ****************** complaints and were found to not be at fault. Unfortunately ****************** vehicle did take longer than he originally estimated, as he continued to request additional add on parts and even a turbo that American Diesel Service Advisors did recommend against using. While ****************** truck was here the owner of the business allowed **************** to use his personal truck on multiple occasions to make sure that **************** was always taken care of and not put out while his truck down. We always strive to provide our customers with the very best.
