Soapy joes carwash damaged my new 4runner. It scratched the back window. Took multiple chips out of my paint on all sides of the vehicle. They said it wasnt their fault but I have photos from beforehand and it was in perfect condition before I took it there.

I originally tried to cancel my soapy joes membership in June 2023. I submitted a ticket through their website requesting to cancel my membership, and I was under the impression that it would successfully be cancelled. I tried calling to confirm my membership was cancelled, but I was placed on hold and was never able to speak to a representative. I tried calling other times and left a voicemail, but was never contacted. When I visited the carwash afterwards, I was asked if I wanted to renew my membership, as my window tag was inactive. I understood this to mean that my membership was successfully cancelled. After I attempted to cancel my membership (and believed it was cancelled), I threw away the window tag with my account number. I have continued to be charged for my membership each month, despite my window tag being inactivated. I would like to cancel my membership and be refunded for the charges from June 2023 - September 2023

I went to their facility to get a car wash. I got into the wash and when I was leaving one of their employees gave a piece of my car (shark fin on the top) saying that it fell from my car. The part was broken since the machine some how pulled it from the car. I made a report and they reject to pay saying that thats not their responsibility. How come my car enters in perfect condition (only 2 years old) into the car wash, leaves broken and that not their responsibility?

This letter below was a follow-up to notify the customer, ************, of the result of their incident investigation from our ***************** Manager, Wil.

We understand this is not the outcome anticipated, but we're afraid we do stand firm on this decision.  As stated in the email/letter, the next step, if a dispute is requested, would be turning the incident over to their insurance company.  At that point the burden of proof would fall on Soapy ***'s, and it can only benefit the customer.

Regarding vehicle damage to ************'s 2020 ****** Forester sport, while at Soapy Joes on 12/10/2022 at our Oceanside Blvd. (Oceanside) location, and have made the following determination:
The video footage, upon thorough review, showed nothing unusual occurred in the wash tunnel to cause damage to the shark fin roof top antenna.
The wash operated as normal, and the shark fin roof top antenna was dislodged with just the air from normal blower activity.
As the vehicle passed the wraps, ****** or rocker brush cloth, at no time does the cloth grab or rip off the shark fin roof top antenna.
It is our expert opinion that the shark fin roof top antenna was susceptible to breakage and/or loose, by weathering and normal wear/tear, upon entry of the wash and was a pre-existing condition.
In cases such as these, when the damage is a result of pre-existing conditions, Soapy Joes is not responsible. In accordance with the Soapy Joes liability statement, posted on-site, on our website, and printed in the membership enrollment documents, Soapy Joe's Car Wash is not responsible for:
    *       Loose equipment including antennas or antenna covers, that become dislodged during contact with equipment.
    *      Existing problems with your vehicle.

The car was in perfect condition before got into the car wash and left broken. I was inside the car all the time and that part was not in bad condition as they state (I am an engineer and I can guarantee it). If it was something with a broken potential they would not allow me to wash my car. BBB must stand and protect costumers from this type of business. I am not the first with this type of complaint and its easy to find it on their reviews.
