I bought LeetCode Subscription in 2022 between 11/26 to 11/28 thanksgiving most probably 11/28/2022. which I didn't use and completely forgot about it. Then I see a charge of 159USD on 11/28/2023 as renewal, so I humbly requested refund that I didn't use the service in 2022 and I don't plan to use the service in 2023 either. but that refund request was rejected saying it was my responsibility to cancel the subscription. I didn't fight much and let go of it, I tried to explain them that I haven't used the service at all so please understand and refund but they said no, as I reached out to them on 7th February 2024 which was too many days after 28th November 2023 Hence I didn't argue and moved on. But requested them to cancel my autopay. They also confirmed that it will not renew on 11/28/******** on 11/28/2024 I again see a charge of 159USD to which I immediately emailed the support team to revert it. I wrote 2 emails and no response so far. Hence now I have to put time and effort to fight the charge. And now I request full refund for including previous 2 year of not using the service as a compensation of this inconvenience. Also want to report bad practice and poor support. They also don't have a phone number to call which makes everything more difficult.I have attached my email conversation with LeetCode Support with this complaint.Business response

My subscription was set to end on November 29, 2024, and to avoid renewal charges, I canceled it in advance through Leetcode website. The system confirmed that the subscription would not auto-renew and would end as scheduled.However, on November 30, 2024, my credit card was charged for the annual renewal, and my account now shows that the subscription is canceled but valid until November 29, 2025.I kindly request a refund for the renewal charge, as I had already canceled the subscription in accordance with the process.The amount was $127.20Business response

I am reaching out to request your assistance regarding an issue with an auto-renewed membership.Last year, on November 28, 2023, I purchased an annual membership from LeetCode. I was unaware that the membership was set to auto-renew. Today, November 28, 2024, I received an email notifying me that $159 had been charged to my account for the renewal.Upon noticing the charge, I immediately canceled my membership and contacted LeetCode to request a refund. Unfortunately, my refund request was declined, as LeetCode stated that the auto-renewal is in accordance with their Terms and Conditions.The problem is that I no longer need the membership and have not used the service for several months. Moreover, I believe LeetCode should have notified me in advance of the auto-renewal to confirm whether I wanted to continue the subscription. This website service is not giving the customer option to decline auto-renew, not giving the customer notification before renew, removing the customer access to the service immediately when the customer cancel subscription but not after the subscription effective period. The only option left to the customer is to set reminder to themselves to manual cancel the subscription at the last day. Those are completely one-side agreement. None of their term and policy follow the common sense of the online service providers.Business response

LeetCode auto-renewed my subscription without my explicit consent, even though I have not used the service for the past 7 months. I was not provided with sufficient notice of the upcoming renewal or an opportunity to opt-out. Despite contacting their customer service to address this issue, I was unable to resolve it satisfactorily. Leetcode charged me 159 dollars for renewal. There is no where on the website to set no auto-renewal. I immediately contacted the company. Not even 2 hours after being charged and they said I agreed to this in there terms of service. I have not used the service in a few months and I'm planning to be out of the country next year. I don't even know why my credit card information is being stored on the website. I also told them to remove it and they didn't do that either.Business response

My LeetCode Premium subscription was recently auto-renewed today on Nov 25 2024, and I was charged $159. I canceled my subscription on the same day it was renewed and have not used any part of the new subscription.
