I want Valley Plumbing (VP) to finish fixing a dripping showera job they started June 30 and halted, incomplete, Friday, August 4 (see pictures). I have paid them over $1,000 in parts and labor (see invoices) and they want another $1,300 to finish the job (see estimate). I emailed the business owner on Aug 4 and again on August 9 and have not received a reply. Background: the mixer of our shower needed adjusting. VP started June 30 but halted the shower job while they brought in partsso, no working shower and it dripped constantly. Chased them a week later, then a few days after that. Oops: theyd forgotten to order the parts. Hours after the plumber left on July 27 we discovered that the shower would dribble every few minutes. Meanwhile, I called VP in to fix the toilet flapper on July 27 (that took three separate visits to fix!). During that visit, I told the senior guy about the dribbling shower. He checked it and declared it wasnt leaking. I video recorded the drip for an hour to provide evidence that what I said was true. He came back and worked on it (no labor charge). After ~1.5 hours he said that due to some change in the parts over the years, the shower couldnt be fixed. I expressed my frustration that it had taken them so long to figure out the problem. I felt as though Id payed for them to learn on the job. He assured me that, as one of the companys two bosses, they would work with me since we would need a new brand of shower. I went straight to the showroom to select new fittings with the expectation from that conversation that we would get a discount on the fittings and they would complete the job at no charge. I was wrong. They sent me the attached estimate. I called and emailed thinking that their systems had got ahead of the conversation Id had with the boss. I got a note back telling me that theyd let the owner (the big boss) know that Id like to talk with him. He has not responded to my emails.

We are working with this customer to try and resolve their current issue with the MB shower valve leak.  We did have a lack of communication from our side which has made them more irritated and I understand this.  I contacted them on 8/4/23 and on 8/11/23 via phone and spoke to ************************* Friday the 4th and ************************ Friday the 11th. I am working to get any materials needed to fix their existing valve possible to prevent us having to do a replacement of the current unit in the wall.  We will update BBB when we have come to a conclusion of what was done or is needing to be done with this issue.  I'm working to track materials needed and receive them prior to scheduling another site visit.

    Sincerely,

    *********************

I hired Valley Plumbing Home Center to fix a leaking bathtub faucet.- The work was performed on May 18, 2022 - The quoted price was between $200-$300 for 1 hour of labor and 2 valve replacements - The plumber (***) took almost 2.5 hours to finish - I paid $695.80 - The leak is not fixed - and we are in a severe drought - I have called the service desk several times to discuss options to fix the leak with no follow-up - They claim to have a 60 day warranty on the work performed however they are non-responsive to fix the leak
