Do not even try to get a credential with this business. They do not do things in a timely manner and our negligence to all of their clients that are trying to become certified. They take your money and do not care about you or your needs as a therapeutic individual.

Two years ago, I submitted my ***s and submitted Membership and Certification Renewal Fees approximately 40 days in advance of my expiration 09/13/2022. I kept checking on the progress on Certemy, and the only items that were completed were my Membership and Renewal Fees. I kept calling, was on hold for long periods of time whilst trying to provide services. Because my application was not reviewed until 1 or 2 days prior to my expiration, it was discovered that certain ***'s submitted were rejected (which I take full responsibility for). However, it would have been helpful if my renewal was reviewed sooner to give me time to re-submit, which I did the same or next day, as I had certificates. However, by the time they reviewed what I had submitted, my credentials were not renewed in time, in the 1st time in 23 years with the same agency, I was forced to go on administrative leave, and upon my return was handed my first and only reprimand. Fast forward to today, Application and fees submitted August 5, 2024. Calls made prior to today, CCAPP Staff informed my that because that despite submitting my application fees on 08/05/2024 my renewal application could not be reviewed until after the threshold 30 days prior to my expiration. I noticed though when I submitted my ***s and Ethics Training double populated the *** and Ethics sections, so I uploaded ***s in the *** section, then called CCAPP to discuss my renewal (4th or 5th call I had made in the last 30 days to help ensure my application is reviewed in a more timely manner). Well, today for the first time, it was explained to me that it is 30 WORKING DAYS NOT INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. can't believe this is happening to a guy that has been a counselor since 1995, and with CCAPP close to 10 years. I can believe they market themselves as the premiere certifying body, sponsor all these events, but can't consistently support there members and credentialed professionals in good standing.

I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully than I have by CCAPP. I have emailed them repeatedly, I have called and asked for a supervisor several times, there is never one available!! I have emailed the accounting department, the credentialing department, the ***** forms to submit a letter to the board as with there incompetence I am late and my cert lapsed. I have emailed the *** ****************** I got nothing. I emailed ****** several times including my phone number nothing. It takes weeks or months to get a response if you get one at all. It is infuriating that they take your money in minutes and take months to give you your certification. It's very sad that they are able to continue to operate and people everyday are sucked into there incompetent hands. If I could give them a 0 like the service they provide I would have. I am so disgusted with them I called CAADE explained my situation, ***** is so dedicated, anyway she told me to fill out renewal application and all documents so I did got my cert in a week!!!! In the mean time I am still waiting for a return email from CCAPP letting them no I no longer want their certification and am asking for refund. LOL what a joke. We should all band together and report them to the state, get them removed so they can no longer steal money/and time from us with their incompetence. I agree with one of my fellow reviewers "We need to eradicate predators such as CCAPP from our industry. They are hiding under the guise of being professional, competent, and capable of performing the certification of counselors in **. Nothing could be further from reality. I can't believe I didn't view Yelp prior to signing with them. I would have saved myself so much time and money".

Unprofessional organization. They just give you the run around. Quick to take your money for the *** course but to verify credentials takes forever.

This organization has horrible customer service. The response time for applications is longer than 30 days unless you personally contact a worker. Additionally, when you are reliant on specific certifications for your employees CCAPP takes there time processing applications. I waited for 2 months to qualify for the State test. My application was constantly delayed. By the time they finally reached out to me to discuss the problem, CCAPP stated the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that approved my hours was not an acceptable professional, even though she is a licensed professional practicing at a facility that offers Drug and Alcohol treatment. By the time I received this notification I had already left my employer due to not meeting certification requirements for the job. I requested a refund and rather than providing an apology and my refund I received an email stating they will not be providing me refund for my application that was processed 3 months later.

This business has the absolute worst customer service. I called them on the phone and spoke to them in the chat and they were rude both times. They never give clear or helpful information regarding obtaining certification and even after I paid for the service and waited 30 days I still never received information regarding my certificate. I regret ever doing business with this company.

This organization has unfortunately proven to be unreliable and downright untruthful. Ordered a magazine LAST AUGUST for a friend who is looking to become an addiction counselor..and after 12+ phone calls and repeated promises to deliver. FAIL.Awful. Awful. Awful.THANKS for stealing my.money.Would leave a ZERO, if I could.Their actions promote addiction.

This organization is terrible. After a botched attempt to get my CADC-CAS up to date in 2019 I began getting my certification up-to-date in 2021. Finally on August 21st 2021 and $864 later I was all caught up. Their business model is to hit you with as many fees as possible as evidenced by me having to pay more than DOUBLE what I should have, I was assured that I would at least be spared their ruthless tactics until 2023. Not true, now I'm being bombarded with the "action steps required" emails because their first layer of late fees comes in the form of "membership fees" which apparently need to be paid once a year even though the certification last for two. This scam requires you to be an up to date member in order to get the substantial discount. How gratifying it must be to know that most, if not all of your members are only members because they can't afford to pay for the certification otherwise. The problem is you cannot ignore the membership without incurring another late fee so it starts. The good news is; ********** is starting to pay attention to this behavior from "organizations"such as these and not one person I talk to with my certification is happy with this organization, all are having some variation of the issues I've stated. The consequence of CCAPP's problems is it's just not being taken as seriously anymore. My employer told me I don't even need it anymore or they would reimburse me if I did renew. My question is, do I want to give this organization any money at all? I'm lucky that I have that flexibility as most who work in rehab settings don't have the options I do. What about the counselor who barely makes a living wage and is subject to these up charges or faces not having a job? What happens to the newly hired counselor who has paid all fees but needs to explain to their new boss why according to their website the certification is lapsed when it actually isn't and CCAPP just hasn't gotten around to fixing it yet? I smell a class action suit.

This place is horrible with customer services. Ive been trying to call them for over year left voicemails to multiple people in upper management, Ive also file complaint not once but twice on the the website, never got response back. Very unprofessional for them not to return messages back. Ive been waiting for an answer for year and nothing back yet. I all I want to know what can I do or what to do next when Im unable verify my internship hours since the person who was my supervisor by the Time passed away. This is affecting my ability to find better job opportunities since I can't get registered with RADT; they want me mandatory to get registered
