I had my car towed to Als to get my transmission swapped out with another one that I was providing on approximately 3-16 2024. I spoke to the owner at ********* Tires *************. Both shops belong to the same man and you can usually find him there most of the time. I dont know his name. I talked to the mechanic at *** and told him what I wanted done to my car and we were just waiting for the other used ****** to arrive. I was quoted a price of ****** for the job, but didn't receive anything at all in writing. In the meantime ***** (the mechanic), called me and said my car was ready on 3-29-2024. I asked him if the transmission had already arrived, I know it hadn't because I was tracking it. He didnt answer but just reassured me it was ready. I went to shop and he told me he flushed my transmission and it was fixed. I was billed ****** ( normally a transmission flush os only 150-250.00) I never asked for it to be flusshed because it was coming out of my car to be salveged! was very sceptical. I went ahead and paid for it so I could get my keys back. By the time I maid it to the corner I knew it was not fixed. I went ahead and drove home because I had been dropped off and had no ride home. Two days later I took the car back and let him know that it was not fixed. I am a single 63 year old woman and I have a feeling I am getting scammed. The new transmission arrived on 3-14-2024. I checked on the progress once in a while so not to be pushy and give him time. Finally it was finished on 5-8-2024 at that time he said it would be *******. I was shocked at the amount. I knew the law in ****** is to call the customer and get approval for any amount above the quoted price. Having the reciept for the un authorized work he had done I asked what he was going to do about it. He let me know he wasnt going to do anything. Next day I went to the owner with a sign I was going to stand in front of his shop to warn others to not trust his shop. HOW CAN I FINISH MY STORY FOR YOU?? CONTINUE for case #******** At that time he agreed to pay me back the ****** but he needs a little time because business is slow and I agreed. Back to the ******, I was verbally told it would be ******. I have proof from a messanger conversation with a friend because ****** lied and said he never told me ******. Appoximately about a week later I realized the ****** was leaking! took car back for the 3rd time. ****** said my car was ready for the 3rd time when I called to find out the progress. Took the car home. I went and asked the owner a few days later if he had some payback money and he was keeping the ****** he said he would pay back. He said it was for the leak that ****** "fixed" which I should not have to pay for. I didnt pay for transmission to be swapped out leaking. I overpaid for. **** and told owner about a few days that it was still leaking. He put car on rack and saw that is was still leaking. He said he would have his "good" mechanic fix it this time. Owner lied to me about having another mechanic. I took my car to ***. I had to walk home after he asked me to bring it in about 3 miles in over 100 degree heat He called and told me to bring it back to the shop. I did. This is 4th time. And ****** was the mechanic again. I called a week and a half later. I was told by ****** that my ****** wasnt leaking. I went and got my car back. I made an appointment with a 5 star repair shop, while talking to the man I told him about how much I was charged for an unathorized ****** flush .He agreed ****** was way too much. I got scammed and want was is owed to me. My car was at the shop for over 4 months and still isnt fixed and Im out of a lot of money. ****** + ******* =******* by law and the *** I only owe what was agreed and authorized by me. *******-******=2020.00!!
