Hello, I am reaching out because I am having issues with an apprentice program I am currently tying to leave (San Bernardino Cuts Barbering and Cosmetology Apprenticeship Academy) They charged me over $6,000 which i agreed to. I paid them over $6,000. They had me start my rsi classes as soon as I enrolled in august 2019. I did not receive my license until March of 2020. In august of 2022 They told me I need to pay them another $2,500 because my enrollment with THEM is expired. My license does not expire until March of 2023. They told me either I pay again or transfer. I decided to reach out to hairlab 24. She said I needed my discontinuance form to transfer with her. When I requested my form from San Bernardino cuts they were very rude and said they needed my license back right away. ******* showed up to my work asking where i was and asking for my license. But I wasn’t working because i had already sent in my license to the board myself. I did not trust them with my license since they were were angry i would not hand them back my license. I quit San Bernardino cuts apprenticeship July 25th of 2022. They have still not sent my discontinuance form with their signature to me so i cannot proceed with my transfer. The board said they have not received any discontinuance form. I went to the San Bernardino cuts apprenticeship on 9/22/2022 telling them I need my discontinuance form . ***** and ******* refused to give me the proper form only a COPY . I kept insisting to ***** that she did not send my discontinuance to the board. She said she already sent it in. I received an email that same day from the board stating they do not have any discontinuance form. I sent ***** a text showing her the email from the board and she stated “stop harassing me!” I do not know how to resolve this, please help me. This is now affecting my livelihood. I have no money. I am also running out of time before my license expires. - ****** **********

On July 19, 2022; after school; I, ***** ***** and ***** ******, spoke with A. ********** regarding her academic report, and all the class absences she had, which caused conflict to be able to finish her education on time. Many times during the program we communicated to her the importance of not missing classes; for this reason she was giving written notification of a disciplinary meeting on her actions (Please see attached disciplinary meeting). EXT 4
Our priority is that all our students complete their education in the designated time, if for any reason our students are experiencing difficulties such as missing classes (RSI mandatory classes) or not going to work and completing their mandatory On job Training hours; before their enrollment agreement is going to expire, we meet with the participant and explain their rights and responsibilities; regardless if the professional license expires or not.

We only let A. ********** know when the enrollment would expire.
We suggested that she could re-enroll in the San Bernardino Cuts Apprenticeship Program but under a new enrollment agreement which is priced at $2499.00 Learning Facility and contribution administration fee (which include class material and e-books) or look for another apprenticeship program.

On July 20, 2022 ********** requested her academic report via text message and we asked her to stop by so we could explain the process in order to avoid misunderstandings... We called her but she never answered.

    Better Business Bureau:

Thank you . My license has been approved after over two months of waiting. My discontinue form should have been sent to me in July with her signature when I requested it. Like i said i did not feel comfortable handing them my license. They harassed me for it. ******* also showed up to my work looking for me asking where i was and that he needed my license. I messaged ***** stating I already sent over my license to the board myself. After that ***** never gave me my form with her signature until I went over there asking for it. If ***** sent in my form I should not be receiving an email from the board stating that they never received it. She is a liar. They do not have the right to withhold my form. I told ***** I sent in my license to the board back in July of 28. Very unprofessional.
