I purchased a used vehicle at auction from this business on 11/9/24 , a 1999 ****** Camry with over ******* miles. I purchased the vehicle on a, "Green light special" which serves as a warranty of sorts. A car purchased on a green light guarantees that the motor and engine are in working condition without any issues. A car purchased on a greenlight also guarantees a 1 hour test drive of the vehicle to ensure the vehicle's transmission and engine are in pristine condition. After paying a $500 dollar deposit on the day of purchase, I was told to return Monday 11/11/2024 to pay the remaining amount of $2,384 and pick up the vehicle and perform a test drive. I had to wait 48hrs (the next business day) to see if my bid was accepted by the owner. Monday when I arrived I payed the outstanding fees, and prepared to for the test drive. Within the first 15 minutes I realized that the vehicle was having a transmission problem as the car was having trouble shifting into gears. I was stunned and asked for an immediate refund. I was told to go into the office to proceed with the next steps. I was given instructions as to how to proceed with the issue and was told to text an automated number with the cars information and the issues I was facing. I called the number I was provided and was told to return Sat 11/16 to be issued a refund. I was told that a supervisor would be approving my request for a refund and that a mechanic was required to inspect the vehicle before I a decision was made in regard to being issued a refund. On 11/16 I returned, a mechanic greeted me and drove the vehicle in the parking lot and told me that the car was not having transmission issues and that no refund would be being issued. A thorough mechanical inspection was not preformed to ensure the given statement was true. My refund was denied. The car broke down on me after driving it off the lot and was towed by police, I need to be issued a refund immediately.

I donated a 1999 ***** civic to veterans auto donation on 4/2/24 The vehicle was picked up the next day by a tow driver with flatbed trailer. I was told I would receive a release of liability for the vehicle in a few days. Its been over a week with multiple attempts to get the document I need for Ca DMV. They have not responded to phone calls or emails. Veterans auto donation also tried calling them but they hung up on them to avoid responsibility for the release of liability I need. Vehicle vin is 1Hgen1649xl000029.
