When I signed up with them they rated at 5cent per transaction but I was being charged 50cent. Called so many times and never got a refund. They kept saying they would call me back but never did. I had to close my business down ** I wasnt making money. I wanted to cancel my contract but they are trying to charge me 595 when the application clearly says 495 and yet again never a call back. Whoever that signed me up didnt tell me there was a fee on the machine but I was being charged almost $90 every month. The lease amount was left blank and yet they felt the need to fill in whatever price they wanted. I told them it was illegal and they said they would call me. Back and yet again no phone call.

Signed on with Appstar credit card processing company so I could process credit cards from customers for my very part time business. Appstar salesman guaranteed that I would save money over using the "Square" processing company. When my accountant went to audit our business account, he wanted to know what all the processing fees were, especially since we only use the account about 3 to 4 months a year. Through the investigation, we found that Appstar was removing between $80.00 to $ ****** per month for non usage of the account which incorporates about 13 to 14 different hidden fees. When I contacted them, they offered to cancel the account if I agreed to apply the balance of the contract to my main company account. They also said they understood we were misinformed by their salesman and would see about refunding all the excess processing fees. They have taken out over $ ******** over a 23 month period, raised the rates as much as 25% with out notice and added extra fees not even on the original contract. This is a very small part time business of teaching CPR to the public and what ever profit I made got eaten up by Appstar's fees. In 23 months of having the account, we used it for about 6 months. In other words, 75% of the time the account isn't used. I contacted Appstar's salesman that sold us the service and he said, I didn't realize it was just a small part time business. Please help, I see Appstar has had multiple complaints filled on them with about the same complaint.

Thank you for forwarding this to us.  We spoke with ********************, reviewed that we posted monthly that we need to be notified within three months of any billing issues and asked if there were any mitigating circumstances here.  He informed us that the matter had been missed last year due to some changes in their accounting department and had been caught this year when they audited the 2021 accounts.

Based on our conversation with ******************, we are making an exception and refunding six months' worth of monthly fees as well as the annual and PCI fee.  We are also reducing the fees on the other account so that ******************** will be made whole over time due to that second reduction.

We would like to thank ****************** for his help in resolving this.

I agreed to use appstar financial as the processing merchant for one of our offices, this contract was signed in our office in April, at the time we also gave their sales representative a $200 payment to pay for equipment. To date we still haven't received the equipment, a phone call or our money back. I think this company just took our money knowing they wouldn't be able to provide a product to us. Appstar Financial can't be trusted.

Thank you for forwarding this to us.  We were contacted August 29th, by an employee(F) for Hear Clearer ***********.  We explained to her that we would be able to issue a refund but would need to speak with ******************************** our ******, prior to issuing the refund or making changes to the account.  She refused to place the ****** on the call.
The offer to address this still remains, but as this is an open account, we cannot make changes without **************** approval.  He can reach the account **** ********************** at ************.

I have been trying to cancel my merchant services with AppStar Financial for three months now. I have even sent a certified letter by *** to them. The "account representatives" dealing with closing accounts never answer their phones or emails. I have been called back twice and one of those times I did speak to a representative named ****. He said I had a $595 cancellation fee unless I could show him how my new merchant can beat Appstar's fees. I emailed him the quote (along with multiple phone calls that went straight to his messages) that I received from US Bank, while also asking for a copy of my signed contract with Appstar. I never receive a response and I am at a loss on how to get out of my contract. I have also asked for my signed contract numerous times and they never give me a copy of it.
