HomeBase has been posting on the Internet job postings on behalf of ****** Architecture, LLC. I am the sole proprietor of ****** Architecture, LLC and I have NO relationship with HomeBase. I have not authorized them to post any job positions for ****** Architecture. I was first made aware of this on May 22, when I received inquires regarding an "Architect" position at ****** Architecture. The person that contacted me said they saw the posting on ZipRecruiter.com. Apparently HomeBase sends out an XML file with the fraudulent job posting that other internet companies, like ZipRecruiter, Indeed.com, Snagajob.com, ZeroStaffing.com , which pick up the link and post the job positions. None of these firms contacted my office to verify that the job posting was accurate or even real. Today, May 30, the posting was for a "Remote Records Clerk". Just now, still May 30, I received an email from HomeBase thanking me for posting a job for a "Customer Success Manager". I did not authorize any of this!!! I have spent many hours, both last week and this week trying to get these posts taken down. I feel bad for the job seekers, I think they are the ones that might get scammed. Some one needs to stop HomeBase.

Homebase approved my company for the payroll software of 5.17.24 we completed Payroll same day and then on Monday 5.20.24 I received an email stating that my HomeBase payroll has been closed due to fraud. Mind you that my employees did not receive their pay even when the money was drafted out of my business bank account. My employees still has not been paid on 5.22.24 I have lost business and have had complaints towards my business for something that is not my fault.

This customer's account was flagged for suspicious activity the day the employees were supposed to be paid, which delayed the payment by a day. This is not common, but our banking team has a host of automated algorithms that try to catch fraudulent activity, sometimes on the employer side, and sometimes on the employee side. This is there to protect employers' funds and bank accounts. The day this customer submitted the ******************** complaint, their employees were all paid later that same day. This was not a result of the complaint, but just because that was the timing for the delayed payments. There was one employee who was not paid later that day, but that was due to a problem with that specific employee's bank account. We did not refund the employee payments to this employer as all of the money was already in the employees accounts as requested by the employer.

When we collect payroll, we also collect tax payments, which we will still pay on behalf of the employer even if the employer chooses to leave Homebase. We have refunded the tax payments to this employer so it will now be the employer's responsibility to make the tax payments.

From our standpoint, this is resolved. Employees have been paid and tax money collected has been refunded.

I am rejecting this response because: My employees were not paid a day late they were 2 days late and one of them was 4 days late in receiving their pay causing my company to loose employees and clients due to an error that was not on my part but on HomeBase part and why approve a business to use the payroll system to only come back and close their account and cause a lot of frustration on my end this is bad poor business.

    Sincerely,

The original pay date was intended to be May 21, 2024. We notified the customer on May 20, 2024 that their account could not be approved after review from our risk and fraud team. While this is unfortunate we occasionally are not able to onboard customers after conducting a thorough review of their business. The seven employees that were included on the first pay run were all paid on May 22, 2024 for their net pay. One employee had an issue with their banking institution but we were able to provide the *** Trace ID to the business owner and his employee so they could work with their bank to understand the additional delay that was not caused by Homebase. When customers run payroll we debit their business account for the net pay for employees but also taxes that would be due to federal or state agencies. Homebase collected the tax liabilities associated with this particular payroll. We were able to stop those taxes from being sent to the agencies and these taxes were sent back to the customer as soon as we had those funds on June 14, 2024. All monies due to employees were paid and all tax monies collected were returned to the customer.
