            This is a case of misleading advertising and poor customer service involving the company SOLV, partnering with ************. On their website, SOLV advertised the cost of a virtual visit as $79 with the statement: “Always one clear price, $79/video visit. No surprise bills.” There were no additional small print or conditions mentioned in this advertisement (evidence attached). However, after using the service in September 2024, I was surprised to see a charge of $315.30 USD reflected on my ****** ********** app, of which I am personally responsible for nearly $200. Upon contacting SOLV for clarification and resolution, I experienced: (1) lack of Response from SOLV despite multiple attempts to contact by email/******** over the course of several months. (2) Misdirection via Phone when calling - I was repeatedly redirected to the billing department of *** ********* ******, which had no record of my name or account. This caused significant frustration and wasted time. (3) Hidden Conditions, as I eventually discovered that the advertised price of $79 applies only to self-paying patients and not to those with insurance. This critical detail was not disclosed in the ad. (4) Inability to Change Payment Status: ************ did not allow me to deny the claim with my insurance in order to be treated as a self-paying patient and honoring the advertised cost. As a result, I am being forced to pay more than two times the advertised price for a single video consultation. Now ************ is denying any responsibility and charging me the full amount, as SOLV published the ad. This situation has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. While this financial burden is not life-altering for me, I am deeply concerned about the potential harm that such false advertising could cause to others who may be in less stable financial circumstances. Companies have a moral and social obligation to ensure clarity, transparency, and fairness in their pricing and advertising practices.
