I was charged $39.14 on November 20, 2024 for using the quizlet site, but I have not accessed in over 5 years. So, my credit card company had to cancel my card. Before this was done, quizlet charged my on December 12, 2024 for the same amount, $39.14 to my old card. I just noticed this charge and fear they will do this again. I tried calling the phone number listed on my statement, ************ but out of order "says ****** subscriber you called is not available". The address shown on my statement, is ************************************************************************** on their website: ****************************** Please help with refunds and also remove my account information from their access. thank youBusiness response

After thoroughly reviewing the complaint and our records, we can confirm that ****** had an active Quizlet Plus subscription and was charged on 11/20/2024 under the account ************ and the email ******************* On 12/11/2024, we refunded ****** for the 11/20/2024 charge in full.
Additionally, we canceled their subscription and turned off the auto-renewal to prevent any future charges.

On 1/9/25 I got charged $38.15 by **************************. They charged an expired credit card on an account that had auto renewal turned off for more than 24 hours prior to the charge. When I tried to dispute the charge through the merchant there was not a way to accurately described my situation just a bunch of drop down boxes with predetermined issues. I tried to provide as much detail as I could where it allowed. After submitting my request within a minute had already been denied by a bot. I tried to connect with human to better explain my situation however I had no luck. I think it is unfair to no have the option to speak to a human and to have all affairs be decided by a bot that cant fully grasp a situation. I am looking to be provided a refund in the amount stated above.Business response

Quizlet charged me and I have asked for a refund. They don't answer their phone.I think the larger issue is, if these are largely minors signing up for quizlet. The user initially contacted us on Thursday, January 2nd, inquiring about charges to their account. On the same day, we promptly requested additional information to assist in locating the Quizlet account linked to these charges.
On the same day, we successfully located the account and refunded the user the entire amount back to their original payment method. Regarding the issue of having a parent email on a younger user's account, we require this.

I have received a yearly charge of $35.99 from this business for 2 years. I have tried reporting it as fraud, and getting a new debit card, but they just put in another pending charge for $35.99 with a pending transaction date of 12/23/24. The only account I have is under the email *********************** That is a free account with no membership. I am being fraudulently charged and Quizlet has offered no help. They have no phone number listed on ******, the phone number that showed up on the transaction date is not real, and their online customer support chat is no use. I have filled out an email support form and was once again connected with an AI Bot. There are no real people to talk to. I need this charge refunded immediately and whatever this charge is needs to be cancelled.Business response

I signed up for the quizlet free trial because I wanted to use one of their quizzes for a class. To sign up for the free trial they asked for my email and a credit card to put down. Immediately after giving them my info and submitting, I started getting a lot of spam emails. Then when I checked my bank account I noticed a fraudulent charge of $1730. Since then I've received a plethora of spam emails and my credit card (a replacement one mind you) has been charged another fraudulent charge of $1840. It seems quizlet couldn't even wait to sell my data. I've never come across a company so willing to shamelessly sell my cc info within a matter of mintues.Business response

From what Aimuamwosa has described, it sounds like their credit card information may have been compromised elsewhere. We strongly recommend they contact their financial institution to report these charges and secure their account.

We can confirm that ********* contacted our support team on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, asking to reset their password. Our support team responded immediately, asking for additional information for security purposes. We never received a reply from ********* confirming the information, and the support ticket was closed.
Since receiving the BBB complaint, we have located the correct account under the email ***************************** and username elizabethsaunders9. We have gone ahead and canceled their Quizlet Plus subscription and refunded the charge of $35.99. ********* should see this refund in 510 business days on the same card they used to make the purchase. If they don't see their refund after 10 days, they will want to contact their credit card provider, who may be able to share more information on their processing timelines.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, we were charged $39.72 for an annual subscription to Quizlet Plus. My daughter used it in middle school, high school, and college but has since graduated. She canceled her subscription but we also want a refund. The problem is that the only way to request a refund is through a bot. My husband submitted the request but there has been no response. He found an email and contacted the company that way, still no response. My daughter did as well, but there is the complicating fact that the email that she originally signed up for Quizlet plus was her middle school email and is no longer available. There needs to be someway to get a refund, especially since President ***** apparently changed the rules to guarantee refunds from companies like that.
