    They are not letting me cancel my account demanding I give them the last transaction we had that I am not able to find. I think this is their way to continue charging me. They charged me TWICE when I was not using their service! I was not able to backup my images and like this other reviews said they will not let you talk to a person.I strongly recommend NOT using this service!

    Good morning, ****. My name is *******. Im one of the Support Managers at Backblaze.I've reviewed your ticket interactions with us regarding the cancellation of your account. I feel that the description here does not provide full context, which I am happy to add.--1. It's 100% true that you have contacted us about canceling your account.2. We have asked to confirm the billing info for the last transaction.However, we asked for that information ONLY because you indicated that you did not want to log into your account to cancel for yourself (we provided the steps for this), but wanted us to cancel on your behalf.When you ask us to cancel for you, we need to verify your identity by confirming the information we already have. We don't have a copy of your picture ID (nor should any service provider), etc. We do have the login credentials you specified when you created your account and the information from your billing transactions. By logging into your account, you validate your identity and can manage the account as desired. Without that, we need to verify information before we change the status of someone's account.Imagine being able to call a utility, provide a name, and cancel service in that name without any verification. ==I've replied to your open ticket with us with this information, along with the steps for both methods. Should you have any questions, please feel encouraged to respond to that ticket and I'll be happy to assist.

    I ran into a situation twice now where my external HDDs backup was deleted. The first time, the data was deleted in less than 30 days from the last seen date. I also had extended history setup as well to cover the data for up one year.I talked to support about it and the only recourse was to re-backup the drive. I did that.Unfortunately, it happened again where the data was deleted in less than 30 days. I contacted support again, but after going around and around with support, the answer was there nothing they could do, and the ticket was closed.I marked the issue as not solved, but no one ever followed up. I went ahead and closed my account.

    This is the WORST company ever. They will NOT stop charging us even though we ************* and recording studio almost 5 years ago in a fire. We have tried of 6 months to get them to stop and will not. You cannot contact them in any way other than email and they **** off our story to someone new each time and tell us they need proof we are being charged. Even when we send them our bank info. they still say they don't have enough info. The bank will not do anything about it and says only Backblaze can cancel us since it was done through a debit card. This company should be out of business. How they treat their customers is not okay.

    my backup never worked and I was frustrated trying to get it to work and then trying to cancel. Garbage company. No phone support. Went through hell trying to get my laptop backed up but never worked. 9 years of this rip off.

    My account was suspended with no warning, no email, nothing. There was no violation of their services, and support hung up on me. Absolute scam of a company.

    I had a decent experience with them while I wanted their service, but they intentionally have an obtuse cancellation process that wont work on the mobile site. This means that next time I want an online backup, I wont be using Backblaze.
