Customer came in as said for work on his **** ****** No discrepancy there. Please see attached invoices, including all payments.

Business owner acknowledged that an error was made on page 4 (the may invoice dated May 1.) Owner is very dyslexic and did not copy the balance from April properly into the "Previous balance column" As the May invoice submitted in this complaint reflects, it is only a partial month, ending May 12. Business owner also gave customer comprehensive folder so they could have all documents, which includes an updated May 2022 invoice showing the remaining work that was completed. Following invoices reflect correct amounts, which customer saw and had no complaints about.

Customer and a woman came to the shop many times and business owner explained to unknown woman (unknown relationship to car owner) exactly what was going on and why it was costing more money she thought. The woman was demanding, verbally assaultive to the business owner, and did not understand the scope of work, or time and effort into completing this job.

Customer called ******************* on July 1 to try and make a PAYMENT and take the car. Customer acknowledged owning more, and that they would make payments, to which the Owner of the company agreed. However, the customer was under the impression they could leave with the car that day by making a payment (the customer had a large amount of cash). ******************* agreed with the business owner that the balance needed to be paid BEFORE taking the car. The customer threw $100 at the business owner and left.

We are working to obtain body cam footage from this incident to back the up version of events leading to this complaint - the customer acknowledged owning full balance due as reflected on invoices and was upset he was not able to take the car without pament in full.

Would also like to note cstomer asked for a quote to submit to their insurance for the job owner did (this is also on the bodycam video we are obtaining)We estimated $27k, which is close to the amount owed. The video will show that woman with unknown relationship to customer tried to keep quote, but officers took it from her and gave it back to business owner.

Furthermore, the customer is visiting many of our shops vendors demanding receipts, asking for information and spreading false information. Customer also going to different trade events and telling people business owner has sold their car and other false information.
