I am the book keeper for this business and the client assures me that these charges were not authorized by him.I have done 27 months worth of books and these charges do not ** incident with anything he would purchase. He strictly uses his card for parts and travel for his **mpany. I do NOT understand why there is a charge 3 times on the same day. These charges are fraudulent and quite frankly are criminal. I would expect a full refund as I have spoken to my legal representative and without my clients signature you can not charge these repetitive charges.Business response

Epoch is a third-party payment facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card, prepaid card and other payment card transactions for thousands of websites on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, operate nor are in any other way associated with those websites.
Our records show, many purchases made by the consumer (which isnt the person that filed the complaint) many times over the years and some are not recurring charges which is why they can occur multiple times in a day (as the consumer goes on a website and makes a purchase multiple times a day). We have discussed this matter with the person that filed this complaint and are working with Paypal to issue full refund to the consumer. We will also block this consumer so as to prevent any further attempts to charge his cards and other payment methods in the future.Initial Complaint

Epoch is a third-party payment facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card, prepaid card and other payment card transactions for thousands of websites on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, operate nor are in any other way associated with those websites.
Our records show that the consumer purchased of a 2-day trial membership on October 28th.Since the consumer failed to cancel trial membership within the required 2-day trial period, his trial membership converted into a monthly membership which is why the consumer was charged $39.99 on October 30th.
We have now canceled his membership and issued the requested refund for the monthly charge. We would advise the consumer to make sure to cancel his trial memberships within the required trial period in the future if the consumer wishes to avoid being charged monthly membership fees.Initial Complaint

Epoch is a third-party payment facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card and other payment card transactions for thousands of websites on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, operate nor are in any other way associated with those websites.
Our records show that on August 28, 2023, the consumer made a purchase of a 2-day trial membership for which he was charged $1.00. We are not sure whether the consumer intended to upgrade his trial membership to a full monthly membership, but he did end up doing so the next day which is why he was charged $24.95. However, our records also show that a full refund had already been issued for it on September 5, 2023.Customer response

EPOCH TIMES APPARENTLY CHARGED ME BACK ON MAY 25TH and then today through PayPal, and I have zero to do with them. I did not authorize any payments or accounts. I did not join any clubs. This is a scam. A fraud. I want them to cease and desist with all charges and refund what was charged.Business response

Epoch is a third-party payment facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card and other payment card transactions for thousands of websites on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, operate nor are in any other way associated with those websites.
However,as already mentioned to Better Business Bureau too many times to count we have nothing to do with Epoch Times and as such are unable to provide any assistance with any complaints that have anything to do with them. We never processed any transactions for that entity period.
We have requested from Better Business Bureau to make a note about it in its records and route these complaints to the correct entity but for a reason unknown to us these complaints continue to be routed to us. Once again, consumers should contact Epoch Times whose website appears to be www.theepochtimes.com (not www.epoch.com which is our own website).Initial Complaint

Three unauthorised payments are being made by Epoch from my bank account on 12 August 2023. They are currently pending. I have made contact with my bank and they have noted that my account has been compromised with those payments and have reissued me a new card. They also advised me to lay a complaint.I have no PayPal account or any subscriptions to services for which Epoch is providing 'services' for. I am seeking a full refund for all three of these payments.Business response

I got a subscription for $15 dollars a month, for life and so I thought great deal, after getting it, I got a text of a fraud alert and was asked if i approved $29.95 for NS I said NO and they rejected it. a week later there was a charge again for $29.95 NS or Epoch did not notify me about any kind of changes. it obvious that someone @ NS or Epoch is making unauthorized charges.Business response

Epoch is a third-party payment facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card and other payment card transactions for thousands of websites on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, operate nor are in any other way associated with those websites.
We are not sure why the consumer is under the impression that whatever charges he is seeing have anything to do with us but our records show no charges that the consumer listed in his complaint (neither $15 nor $29.95). Our records show just 1 charge made more than 2 years ago. Moreover, as is standard with all payment processors/facilitators, all payment card data is encrypted so that none of our employees have access to it and would not be able to abuse it as implied by the consumer.
We have discussed this matter with the consumer and confirmed that whatever charge the consumer is seeing has nothing to do with us (the descriptor associated with his charge appears to be that of NS ENT ********** and not Epoch as it wouldve been if the charge had anything to do with us). We have recommended to the consumer to get in touch with NS ENT and they should be able to assist him with any questions about it and/or issue any refunds as may be appropriate.Initial Complaint
