I have had a terrible experience with the parts department at Platinum Chevrolet. I went in to purchase a head gasket for my vehicle and the employees did not verify that the part matched my VIN and gave me the wrong one. After assembling my engine with the new head gasket on, I was unable to complete the process and had to take everything back apart. I discovered that the head gasket was the incorrect size. I went into the dealership, to the parts counter and explained my situation and how I was given the wrong part. The man behind the counter told me "we don't give a fuck" and ended up turning his back to me and therefore ending the conversation. He had all my information pulled up on the screen showing when and what I purchased from them and still thought that I was somehow trying to scam him. I have photo evidence and the actual physical proof being the wrong head gasket. I am working hard to get my vehicle back on the road and this is the kind of behavior these employees exhibit when they made a mistake. As soon as I stepped up to the counter I could tell this man was extremely hostile and did not want to provide any help he just wanted to make a sale. I have never encountered someone that will not own up to a mistake they have made like this man. In the back ground there was another man standing there military style attempting to intimidate as well and I spoke to him later on the phone and he hung up on me. These people have such a disregard for average people that they feel higher up then. I would never recommend this dealership, specifically the parts department.

I'm not sure why this is coming up now a year later, however we ended up giving the customer a new part rather than attempting to make a 'parts warranty claim'. We had witnesses there, and our employee did not cuss and the customer was unwilling to work with us to try to process the parts warranty claim, so that is when we ended up just giving away a new gasket.
