See's has found a new way to rip off customers. Their standard box size has always been 1 lb, but now in most airports they sell a 11oz box for the same price ($35) as the former one pound box. Since all boxes at the airport are the 11oz size, the customer does not notice that the amount of candy has been reduced. This is a purposeful action to deceive the buyer.Review from George P

I was ordering candy for the holidays. Their system would not process my order but encouraged me to spend an additional $15 to achieve free shipping on orders over $75 I did so even though I didnt want the third package and they charged me full shipping of $26 When I contacted them and complained that I didnt want the additional $15 but did it anyway at their Encouragement to gain free shipping. The response was just tell me they were sorry there was nothing more they could do and offered me half the shipping In return. I contacted them with my complaint inside of 24 hours so they should have been able to adjust the fees.this is a result of extremely bad customer service and extremely bad e-commerce practices. I ordered a selection to be delivered for Father's day on the 8th of June. It was to be delivered on June 12th per the website upon finishing the order. It was to be shipped directly to my parents home in **********. This allowed for plenty of time before Fathers day. On June 15th I happened to check with my mother that she had received it for my Dad. They had nothing, so I went to See's website entered the information only to be told their website is having issues and to check with the carrier directly. The carrier tracking showed they were still awaiting the item from See's. I left a message on See's website since no one is available on weekends, with all the details. Got a response on the 17th apologizing and asking if they can send a replacement and they would refund the shipping charges. I replied to the email with a yes please, and thank you. I received a new email saying the refund would be processed in 7-14 days. I'm not really concerned about $13, but there was no information about a tracking number or anything. So yesterday, June 20th, I decided to call and spoke with the same customer service rep that was on the emails I had received. I asked for a tracking number to which she told me it was out for delivery. She told me there was a problem with the tracking information they could access which is apparent in bold letters on the website. She told me she would email it to me. I contacted my mother and told her it would be out for delivery so to make sure and watch for it. Needless to say nothing was delivered and no tracking number sent to me. I finally sent an email stating unless they can give me something to confirm its been sent and tracked to just cancel the order and please refund me. If you guessed I have not heard anything, you would be correct. I don't care about the cost, its just really frustrating to have so many breakdowns revolving around the same order. This is expensive candy and I expect that you should get what you pay for, including decent service. I sent several boxes out to several locations across the country to my children and grandchildren anticipating that they would receive them in time for Easter. I was assured by the sees agent that they would all get to their intended destinations on time. That didnt happen for three of my children and grandchild. The chocolates were delivered to the wrong address even though they were correctly addressed with my daughters home address, the driver simply dropped them off at the wrong house, resulting in them not receiving the chocolates in time for Easter but rather several days later when their neighbor brought them their missing parcel. I reached out to sees and told them of my disappointment and have yet to receive a response. I notice that sees is responding with a pre written response, a form letter in essence, telling everyone to Please provide your contact information so we can work with you to renew your good feelings about Sees., which is just a way of dismissing us (whos going to provide personal information on an open format?) and avoiding accountability since they already have our information in our sees online accounts which most of us who order online have set up. I know I have one and they have my information, yet I received no response from them when I wrote telling them of the issue. So please sees, spare me you canned response and just do better. You clearly have no problem charging a huge premium for your chocolates, show that same level of investment in treating your loyal customers with care.See's Candies, Inc. Response

See's Candies guarantees customer satisfaction with our products and our service. If a shipment was delivered to the wrong address by the carrier we shipped the candy with, we take full responsibility for that error and will make every effort to make things right with our customer.

We will offer to replace the product with fresh product or a different product if that is our customer's preference. Wanted to give my clients sweet gifts for the holidays - went to the client section on the website under client gifts ordered $300 worth of candies. and guess what... they shipped the candies without from address. So my clients received candies, just candies, from no one - no return address, company name etc. Agent on the phone confirmed that there is not a place to put additional msgs. but offered no resolution - I've waited couple of weeks. and without further adieu leaving this negative review.See's Candies, Inc. I am working with this customer to see how we can resolve this issue. Our goal is to find a solution that is acceptable to our customer. The orders were placed on sees.com so our gift services team was not involved in how the orders were entered. A field to add a gift enclosure message is included on sees.com. Unfortunately our customer did not complete this field when the orders were entered.
Our goal is to work hard to restore our customers good feelings about See's with a suitable solution that will include a customer approved response to his recipients.

The See's website offers PayPal as a means to pay for orders, but then gives a confusing and unsatisfactory warning that the addressee and delivery location with PayPal may not work. I wanted to use PayPal and expected that when I processed the transaction I would be able to set the address and delivery address. I realized after numerous attempts that I would not be able to do that, so I immediately sent an email to customer service giving them the correct details.I called customer service and was that PayPal only handles the payment and that I could not redirect the shipping. The customer service representative, who told me to have a sweet day several times, suggested that I send the chocolates to my friend after they have been delivered. She didn't care in the slightest, and did not acknowledge that See's IT operations are responsible for this serious shortfall in customer service. Who has ever heard of a reputable company that will take your money and not allow you to say where you want the product shipped and to whom? What a disgrace! The chocolates may be delicious, but the company is arrogant and unprofessional.Don't trust See's Candies.See's Candies, Inc. Response

Received a box of Sees candy in the mail today. Delivery was in a regular box, no padding or anything to keep them cold. When I opened the box the candies were old cracked and dry looking. To top it off special selections were ordered and I received 3 pieces of the special order and the rest assorted. But the kicker is they are dried, cracked and old. What happened to standards I threw them away and called the person that sent them and took pictures.Review from patricia c

No refund 14 days after I cancelled an order and called See's twice. I cancelled the order one hour after purchase but they already had my money!!
