On Tues 12/12/23 at approx 10:30am I took my car to RD automotive for a oil change my car was running fine before I went in there after I paid an left like half a block I noticed my engine light was on an my car was riding **** misfiring I turned around told the manager ****** told ******* o check it out ..he came back an said he doesn't know maybe she needs tune up or something I told manager itbwas fine before I came in here so he went outside to look with 3 other employees I was in the office with ******* he was complaining his eye hurt he was going home after me I said whats wrong he said I can't see on my eye I don't know I think he had a mini stroke..he was straining on one eye!! I said OMG! You worked on my car with one eye! He said I'm ok u just got an oil change if it was something else I would not have worked on it.. so ****** comes in said he put it on code an code says several things can be wrong an for me not to drive it cause I can blow my catalyc converter I said WHaT are u serious omg my car was fine.. I said give me that paper I'm gonna have my dad look over it he didn't say anything! I left went home..upset.. I called my step dad crying he said sound like they did something cause night before my dad an uncle put a brand new battery in my car an drove it it was fine an in morning when I left drove good..an around 4 pm I called RD automotive an ****** answers phone he is manager I said this is **** with ********* said I have a question what was the name of the older Mexican man he said who the owner **************** said he told me he worked on my car with one eye his other eye he had a mini stroke an then he starts laughing an says he is the manager an he was just playing around I wouldn't let someone work on car with one eye an just laughing he said ********* worked on my car an it's on receipt .an I said ok an hungup an there is no name on the recipient..he lied about ******* was the owner !! An there is no name on receipt I'm so upset!! I'm a single older lady on a fixed income an they thought I was a joke I guess laughing when I called an my car was running fine I have witnesses prior.. they didn't offer to look at see if they can see problem...or anything an when I called he laughing like it's a joke now I can't drive my car ****** said if I have another car use that one I said No! I don't **** is my only car I don't want my money back ! I want them to fix it!!Business response

*********************** CAME IN FOR A OIL CHANGE ON 12/12/23 I WAS GIVIN THIS *** BY ****** THE SERVICE MANAGER FOR AN OIL CHANGE. WHEN I DROVE THIS *** IN THE **** I NOTICED A **** IDLE, I WASN'T FEEL WELL SO I DIDNT ADVISE ANY DIAGNOSTIC AT THE MOMENT. I THOUGHT I'D FINISH THE OIL CHANGE AND GO HOME.SO I PROCEEDED WITH THE OIL CHANGE, I TOOK THE OIL DRAIN PLUG OFF, WHILE THE OIL WAS DRAINING I THEN PROCEEDED WITH AIRING UP THE ****** AFTER I DID THE **** PRESSURE THEN I PUT THE DRAIN PLUG BACK ON AND CHANGED OUT THE OIL FILTER, FILLED IT UP WITH THE CORRECT OIL, STARTED UP THE VEHICLE AND DOUBLE CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL. I PUT THE OIL CHANGE LABLE. I BACKED THE VEHICLE OUT AND HANDED THE **** TO ******. I TOLD ************** WAS GOING HOME, AS I WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE I NOTICED *********************** HAD RETURNED. WE ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS OK AND SHE SAID THAT HER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THAT THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING ****. I "*********************" OPEND THE **** AND FOUND NOTHING DISCONNECTED, THEN I PULLED THE ***** AND FOUND P0300 "RANDOM MISFIRE". WE EXPLAINED TO ********************** THAT OIL LEVEL WAS PROPER AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING I DISCONNECTED AND I ADVISED HER THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE BUT TOLD HER THAT THE *** MIGHT NEED SPARK PLUGS ********************** BEGAN TO ARGUE THAT HER *** WAS NOT LIKE THAT. I TOLD HER THAT FROM DRAINING THE OIL AND THAT ADDING THE PROPPER OIL AND FILLING IT UP TO THE PROPPER SPEC WOULD NOT CAUSE IT TO MISFIRE. SHE ARGUED THAT SHE HAD NO MONEY AND WATED ME TO CHECK IT BUT I TOLD HER THAT NOTHING I DID WOULD CAUSE A MISFIRE.

On May 5, 2023, I contact LkQ bought the motor for the *** on May 9. It was delivered to R&D Automotives. They placed a motor in during that process. I had gotten a phone call stating that my battery was no good that I needed a new battery so I had to purchase a new battery the motor was put in and because it was put in there was something about the fuse eating my battery away so thats the reason why I had to buy a whole new battery once I made the payment for RDI have a car and was driving it, and I realized that something in the motor didnt look right the car started to make a loud noise I contacted R&D I spoke to ****** and he told me that he could look at the car, but if it was my fault, I would have to pay more money which I knew that I wasnt my fault the motor looks like its hanging off. It doesnt look like it was placed correctly. I have been driving the car like this and have no idea because of this there is been codes that popped up on the check engine light due to this and I feel that they should be responsible to fix fix my car I had to pay for an oil change along with a new battery along with the cost of putting the engine in. They charge me around **** I want them to fix their job. I had no check engine light no problems at all with his car until now. I would like for them to fix the problem and I would like for you guys to inspect the problem to make sure everything was OK. I shouldnt have to pay for extra anything when they didnt put it incorrectly. I feel like the amount is more than **** considering I had to buy a brand new battery and they disconnected a fuse that needed to be replaced and I dont know if they should be responsible for that.Business response

Vehicle was towed in by *********************************** requesting a motor installation. She stated she will supply motor from LKQ .
When motor arrived, we proceeded with installation. After installing motor and doing the oil change and coolant service,
we tried to start the vehicle, but battery was dead, so we put battery on charger but after a couple hours of charge, we tested battery and it was bad, did not hold any charge.
we called ****************** and told her about her battery being bad and again she supplied her own battery.
Once we got the car started, we noticed her *** pump was staying on once we turn the ignition on. We then told her that her car was done but the *** pump was staying on all the time and that it will drain her battery.
At this point we suggested a diagnostic for the *** pump, but she denied the Diagnostic for the *** pump at this point.
****************** requested we disconnect *** Pump, so we proceeded to pull the fuse at her request, we advised that it is unsafe that the *** pump would not activate.
Car was released to her after a couple of weeks, she called the shop and said that her engine seems to be falling, and for us to fix the *** pump. ******* stated that it wasn't bad before she brought it in, we inform her that we had no way of knowing if the *** pump was bad prior to service since the battery was dead and that we could definitely check the engine installation and double check to see if we did Cause the *** problem, but if we didn't, she would have to pay for a diagnostic. at this point she got very upset and hung up.
when ****************** was picking up her car together with her daughter, her daughter mentioned to us, her car Kept draining battery and making noise prior to us working on it.
