On 3/15/2024, I was meeting a woman in front of my house to sign a contract, at which time I frantically realized I was locked out of the house. She helped me get in touch with a locksmith she Googled on her phone. I could not do research under the circumstances. The number in her phone was ************** (Locksmith 4 Less' dispatch #). An ****** was supposed to come; tech's name turned out to be "******." (In quotes b/c no one claims to know who he is.) Above # on 5/17/24 cannot be reached when I dial it, now. RED FLAG!1) Toll-free# on the website is a constant busy signal. ??2) "NO REFUND OR EXCHANGE" was never divulged. I did not ascertain that until I was back in the house, he was long gone, and I discovered in horror he FORGED MY SIGNATURE under the disclaimer and that line of the paper invoice I requested (NOT official!). Receipt has NO mention of L4L's business details. Electronic receipt from the platform JoBox has no mention of L4L either. SHADY!There is a code of 4V48U CA Locksmith. DECEPTIVE!"******"'s(?) # ************* JoBox gave me ************* (UNRECOGNIZABLE!)3) Charged $300 for the lockout (daytime hours) AND the hack locksmith the work was subbed out to did a botch job on the lock by drilling! Never told me if he drilled, the lock would be damaged/unusable. Lied by omission!4) When they could be reached, dispatch told me "management" would be touch. NEVER HAPPENED ACCORDINGLY!5) I ended up hiring a 2nd locksmith to repair the damaged lock/deadlatch. Addt'l expenditure of $185.6) Nutshell: $300 put in dispute, a chargeback, credit card company then reinstated charge having found merchant's evidence more compelling than MY 18 pages of proof! What they submitted is peppered with lies and submitted by someone else in the company (NOT "******" whose text to me is riddled with misspellings.). They claim to have MY signature. If I do not have it, NO ONE does.7) Among L4L, *************** card ***** an utter scam! All parties ? complicit.S.O.S.

I went through Locksmith 4 Less to get an emergency lock replacement for my front door. The company sourced a third party vendor that ended up over charging me by a significant amount. When I search online the lock I was given in shows as being $115, the price they charged me was over $1000. In addition to this I called the initial company - Locksmith 4 Less, to report this problem and they did nothing about it. Also, the address listed on their website is not an actual address, the zip code should be 5 digits but they have theirs listed as 6 digits, so you can't even search the company address online.

Originally quoted us for $100 Changed quote upon arrival to $250 Billed ** for $438 including a $30 fee for making a phone call to their business None of their additional fees were quoted to us at any time. We fully believe they are taking advantage of people in emergencies, and want to make sure it doesnt happen to anyone else.

On Jan 3, ****, I left my garage door clicker in my car, prompting me to open it using a ********** manually. The key broke, leading me to contact Locksmith 4 Less, a seemingly reputable service with positive reviews & the ****** Guarantee. I needed a locksmith to remove the broken key & possibly make a new key. At 7:24am, the locksmith, *****, arrived in a white SUV with minimal tools, raising initial concerns. He assessed the situation without providing an official quote, suggesting $600 for opening the lock, followed by an additional $2000 for a complete mechanism replacement. Upon my refusal of the mechanism replacement, ***** removed the broken key, hinting at a more affordable solution. Yet, he neglected to provide a clear estimate or explanation. ***** claimed the pins were damaged, necessitating immediate repair & I trusted his judgment. He left briefly, & about 45 minutes later, I received a text saying he was on his way back with a "custom lock." Again, without any explanation or talk about cost, he continued working until 9:45am. Once finished, ***** insisted on writing an invoice inside my home. Shocked by the increasing costs, reaching around $5k, I contested the undisclosed charges. Eventually, he reduced the total to $3800, but since he was inside my ******** was alone, I felt uneasy & pressured to comply for my safety. ***** manipulated me to pay the invoice through Venmo to Or ******* a personal account. Later, I realized the company's shady practices, hiding behind batched 5-star ****** reviews, a phone number that changes when you refresh, & an elusive online presence. The invoice lacks contact details, intensifying suspicions about the legitimacy of the service. Locksmith 4 Less is a fraudulent company. The next day, I filed a police report, & I met with an officer for more info. We gave ***** a call. The officer asked for his name, business name, & phone ******* **** hung up. We proceeded to call a couple more times, **** declined each call.

Called for a locksmith, was not home and was told prices start at $59. Instead the price was $550.00. Because I had already paid a portion of the charge, the person on the phone said, "Do you know what I can do with your Venmo information?". Then said, I will remove all the locks. So, I wanted to have a discussion about this ridiculous fee, (job was done in 5 minutes), but to be threatened like this? What kind of business is this? I called the dispatch number that I initially called and was told they couldn't tell me their name, couldn't tell me their company, couldn't tell me anything other than they would send it up to supervisors. It's a scam. If they have your address and payment info, you will pay them anything they want.

We contacted Locksmith 4 Less on 10/24/23 for lockout service. They dispatched *****, who was able to get us in pretty quickly. The locks on our doors are old, and he suggested having them replaced and he could do it that same day, in the evening. ***** came back about 5pm and replaced 4 locks, on 2 doors. All was ok until the week of 11/13 when we noticed that 2 of the locks, on the side door were completely loose. When you insert the key to the top and bottom locks, the entire lock moves, which is a safety concern. I called on 11/16 to notify them of the issue and spoke with ****. He advised me that a manager would call me back that day. No one called me back. I called back on 11/17 and spoke with a gentleman who again told me that a manager would call me back. When I asked for the managers name, he said he didn't know who would call me back because there was no manager where he was. He then said he would reach out to the technician, *****. No on called me back. As it was now Thanksgiving week, I called back right after the holiday on 11/28 and spoke with ***. I expressed my frustration after paying $487 for locks that are now, not only loose, but is a huge security issue! He assured me that a manager would call me back and he understood my frustration. Of course, no one called me back. I called again on 11/30 and spoke with *** again. He sounded surprised that no one had called me back. I advised him that if someone broke into our home because of that lock, that they would have a much bigger issue on their hands. He said he was going to "red flag" the escalation and that someone would call me back. To date, no one has bothered to call me back to address the problem, or even have someone just come fix it. This is really disheartening to know that a company does business this way, and won't even fix something they installed that is a huge security issue. In the picture attached, you can see the pencil marking on the door, at the top of the lock, when it is slack.

This business price gouged me into paying $500 for a standard $75-150 residential lockout service. They refuse to quote ahead of time with is also unprofessional practice. They didnt tell me the price until the job was done and forced me to pay $500. This is unacceptable business practice.

On Sunday October 15th, I called Locks 4 Less for a lockout. When the locksmith arrived he tried to pick the lock but told us that our locks needed to be replaced anyway because they were old and faulty. We asked that the locks be replaced with the same hardware that was already there. The locksmith performed the service and gave us an invoice for $770. When we submitted the invoice to our landlord, we were told that the price was astronomical in comparison to other local locksmiths. He even verified with several other locksmiths that for the services we received at most it should have cost us $250. Additionally, after our landlord inspected the locks, he alerted us that the locksmith replaced our locks and hardware with far higher end and more expensive hardware than what was originally there. When we received this information from our landlord, we called Locks 4 Less and alerted them that we would need them to remove the hardware and take it back and replace with the same cheaper locks and hardware that the landlord originally had there as they needed to match the rest of the building and follow code. Locks 4 Less told us that they could not help us with this and the best they could offer was replace the locks with the same color of the original hardware, but could not take back the hardware they installed nor exchange or refund us.
