County Wide Services came over my house in September for a quote with ****, owner of the company. We talked about what to expect of the process including my concerns with chemicals and requirements of no chemicals to be used. They said the mold remediation part was going to cost maybe $1,200 to $1,500 and if more needed to be done that they would talk to us and move the costs somehwre else because we needed about $1,000 to pay our hygienist under the mold policy we had and that was top priority. After they did not follow any instructions, by using chemicals we did not want and billed our insurance for mold remediation in the max ****** allowable, they agreed to pay our hygienist the remaining $240 dollars after revising their bill if insurance would not p?y Which we told them they would n?t. Their workers also removed our reverse osmosis under the sink and without contacting us, they placed it outdoors with no protection from sun, dust, cold, rain and the system has been compromised costing a hefty $1,400 to replace. The company took zero liability and said its not their responsibility. The house was left with everything in working condition and this is how we expect it to find it. We had to purchase for $270 something new, but a inferior system and requested the company to reimbusrse us for this as compromise. They have taken no stance. We are requesting them to pay for our hygienist the $240 remaining as agreed by email and verbally and the $270 for the new system. We also had costs of $35/60 dollars per week on average in bottle water for our family due to not having a working system.

    Business response

There is no way you were ever told by us a figure for $1200-$1500.We would never say such a thing. In the last 30 plus years we have never had a mold job that low especially when it involves cabinets.
If you recall, your cabinet was taped shut and you wouldnt let **** open it. You also stated you had several companies come out and maybe they made such a statement, but we would never give a number without giving you an estimate in writing.

As far as testing is concerned, we never get involved in testing as it needs to be performed by a 3rd party. We do not contact them, and we were never told what your testing cost would be. We are also not sure what you are referring to when you say we can move the cost.Maybe you were confused with moving the cost statement from other contractors.

What we did tell you, after the job was completed and you were complaining about cost, we could pay $240 once you gave proof from the insurance company that they would not cover testing since the same insurance company had covered testing in 2 recent jobs we had just performed. We also provided you with those claim numbers so you could talk to your insurance. You never provided the insurance response.

Upon starting the job, we discovered there was RO (reverse osmosis) system, you and your husband were immediately informed by **** (Owner/RMO)that you needed to contact the manufacture for reinstallation.

As far as chemicals are concerned, we have a protocol we follow by IICRC standards and S520 for mold remediation, the same process we use in hospitals, schools etc.
You also were never exposed to any chemicals because we built a containment with an ante room and negative air machine while performing the work. You also stayed in a hotel provided by your insurance while our work was being performed. Exposure of anything was completely avoided.

Please see our work authorization which you signed. It states that the customer is ultimately responsible for any cost the insurance company does not cover. See attached.
