My filling for one of my cavities had fallen out, and since my regular dentist was booked up I started calling around to see if someone else could help me since I was so uncomfortable. After speaking to the office clerks at dr. amys, I was able to quickly book an appointment for the next. day. When I met her, she started speaking of all these treatments that she had access to. i told her several time, I only wanted to get my filling replaced and a cleaning. . she then proceed to take pictures of my throat. afterwards, she showed me the pictures and said I "probably have sleep apnea." and would benefit from yet another treatment. i kept saying, all I wanted to do was get my filling replaced and get a cleaning. she said, "lets just send it to insurance and see what it will cover." I said no, and at that point I told her I did not want to get a cleaning any more and wanted to leave. a few weeks later I get a bill for 500 dollars. this cannot be legal and I will not pay for this. please help me. i see she did this multiple times to people.

Amy, the dentist, was on my insurance website. I went in for a cleaning and ended up with $16,811.52 in charges; I believe many are fraudulent charges. Amy has 25 one-star reviews on Yelp, and I allege she is a scammer and the below. According to my insurance, the maximum allowable charge for the services she submitted is $2,569.83; thus, she owes me a refund of $8,309.57. I have this in writing from my insurance co. Over the phone, she quoted me $1,300 for a crown but charged me $2,985 per crown. I am not sure I needed the crowns. Before I came in for the crowns, I asked for a pre-determination to get a full, accurate quote. They said they would get me one. It never came, so when I called back, they said I had to come in to get it. At the 4/12/24 appointment, I asked for the determination/quote, was told they were preparing it, and then escorted me to the dental chair. After multiple Novocain injections, the dentist appeared at chair side with a barely legible handwritten paper of charges. She allowed me to see it for a second and did not give it to me to take home. She then said she needed payment in order to continue working on me. She said she had payment issues with other patients and needed payment upfront. In a vulnerable state due to the Novocain, and with her insistence that I was in dire need of this work, I gave her my credit card. Nabi charged me $7,140.00 that day, $6,140.00 on my regular credit card, and $1,000.00 on my FSA card. According to the insurance, I should owe only $185.32. This represents an overcharge of $6,954.68. A dentist has never asked me to pay for services in full upfront. I gave this dentist my credit card, assuming that she was honest and trustworthy as a medical professional. She is not. She lied to the credit card company as well. Everything is documented, including call logs. She also broke penal code 632. One reviewer, not me, wrote on yelp " I can't believe someone would drill into a kids teeth who didn't even need"

I was seen on 2/5/24 with a complaint of sensitivity on my front tooth they took x-rays and the doctor said before she addressed my pain she has to do a deep cleaning and that I have a gum disease and need Arestin treatment in all my gums which I was at the dentist 6 months prior and nothing was needed , she refused to touch me before doing this which says my insurance covers 70% and only $295 out of pocket and that she could not use numbing injection cause she would charge me separate for that to which I have never heard of before. so, she does the deep cleaning and Arestin and states I need to come in for a post op appointment 2 days later which I've never had to do before either even when getting root canal . when I come in for my post op appt she proceeds to tell me I have 10 different things that need to be done and it will be almost $9000 dollars i was in shock she didn't even address why I was there in the first place i left and asked for my x-rays the front desk wouldn't give them to me and then don't answer the phone for the next two days and i still don't receive my x-rays , I cancelled all appts with them and left voicemail and they still have the nerve to text me I have a appt and if I don't go they will charge a $50 fee and they charged my card $1225 dollars for my deep cleaning , I'm sure this isn't the first complaint for this joke of a business . ai also followed up with my normal dentist on 2/12/24 and nothing was wrong with my teeth or gums. This is the dentist's name and address Now they are billing my insurance as well
