SCAM! They set you up with an income-based student loan plan that is fraudulent. None of the money goes towards loans and when you try to contact their employees, it goes to personal phone numbers. This is not an official business.Review from Josh P

They were supposedly a loan consolidation company that told me Id be paying $39 for 140 months with those payments going toward my loan debt. I called my loan servicer and found out that the payments I've been making every month since 2020, have not been going toward my loan debt. I want my money backReview from Bob B

Lmao first of all, this company's address isnt even real. If you use ****** maps and drop the STREETVIEW, they are literally in a strip mall. Is your office space inside **************'s bathroom? Reply with a real answer to this you scumbag trashcan company. You may be able to save yourself from potential legal trouble by continuously stating how all you do is consolidate loans and that you did in fact perform that service for your clients, but that can be done by anyone for free. The part you are leaving out is the fact that every single person that signed up for your s***** service, is that you promised or somehow distorted the information, making it sound like the FIRST 3 payments of $300 and then the subsequent $39 per month would go towards the "consolidated" loans. I understand now why you have to put a fake address, because people would probably storm your office for these despicable methods. What this company and the thousands of other fake companies like these real goal is to target vulnerable people who have any sort of debt and loop them into paying these disgusting fees. This has to be the worst side of modern capitalism. I hope when you sick f**** look back at your life and reflect on what you contributed to society, you'll realize how sorry each of you are. bEsT rEgArds.Review from Kaley J

Scammed just like everyone else. Taken advantage of after having a baby and losing my house, trying to do anything to save money. All the money Ive paid could have gone to my actual loans at this point. Ive emailed and called and none of the numbers workconvenient. I want ALL my money back!!!!Review from Jazz G

Money comes out of my account faithfully every month (I have proof so please dont respond saying I havent made a payment or anything of the sort) but there is no way to contact anyone. Emails are returned immediately because no email is found but when we first started ****** (if thats his real name) was on it and the young lady who would answer the 866 number which now says that no one is able to take your call. I know the document says no full refund after 3 days which of course we know why but however half of that money needs to go back into the account that youre so smoothly drafting from. Business is business and yall must do better if you want people to stick around. I pray that the Supreme Court approves the loan forgiveness because my app was approved but either way, I want out. This is not professional at all. When you do business, you sign up for people to give their review on their experience. Not a good one.Review from Stephanie E

I am a hardworking mom who struggles to meet ends meet, I have 2 children one who sadly was born with ******* and I have been trying to save up for a house for my children but my student loans have been an issue affecting my credit so I received a letter from a company which the letter was presented was from the Dpt. of Education. To make a long story short they stated they would help me get a loan forgiveness as I qualified for the program after I gave them all my information. They said I had to pay $800 which will go towards my loans and $39 a month for a year which was the payment I qualified for. Come to find out today no money has gone towards my loans and when I spoke to the actual Dpt of Education. they said is wrongful to mislead that these services are not free and when I called Cornerstone back now they are stating those $800 were for prepping some documents. They refused to refund me my money that I work hard for to stay afloat to be scammed. Not a coincidence that other consumers were lead to believe the same exact thing. Strangers from diff parts of the US with the same story... ************ needs to be reported and closed!Cornerstone Doc Prep Response

Hello *********, After further review of your account, ALL of your federal documents have been processed, meaning, you are consolidated and in the loan forgiveness program. You do have access to your Mohela account so you are able to verify this information on your end. All services you paid for have been complete. On 4/15/21, you called in concerned with our services, however, we thoroughly explained what we do as a company and what services we provide; you agreed to stay enrolled. Your account has been cancelled since September 2021, due to a stop payment on your end, so it has been well over a year from the last time any authorized payment was drafted. Best Regards.Review from Shannon M

Okay, look yall. Look, I know the service agreement may say that TECHNICALLY the company is just a doc prep service and that you're paying for that service, not getting the amount taken off your loans--BUT. When I talked to them they LITERALLY told me that they were associated with the ********** of ********** Yeah, yeah, service agreement, whatever. But when I spoke with them over the phone they literally lied? I know I don't have proof. But...regardless of whatever the agreement says (that, come on, the company knows that most people don't read them), they legit ACTUALLY lied to me over the phone. I know for a fact--because I remember remarking "oh, yeah, $39 a month for 240 months is definitely a lot better than like $35k!" and the lady I spoke to was like "yeah for sure, it's definitely tempting and would save you money in the long run!" or something like that. They sent mail as if they WERE the DoE and literally pretended to be them on the phone. I know you guys are reading this. Come on guys, this *****. This is predatory. Hello *******, After further review of your account, you enrolled January 4th, 2021 and cancelled January 18th, 2021. It has been almost 2 years since your cancellation. During this time, you did have a payment scheduled, however, the payment declined; so no payments were ever drafted from your account. All of our calls are recorded so we do have proof that we did not say we are the ****** On the initial letter you received, it does state we are a third party, so we are transparent the moment you receive that notice. Again, you have been cancelled since January 2021 and no payments were taken from you. Best Regards.Review from Nick K

Total scam!! I had to search for a whole year to finally get a hold of a processor agent from this scamming company! They will say Cornerstone tried to contact you for 5 days and they left a text message and they'll say, "we canceled you from their services" or they'll say," Your account was insufficient that's why we canceled you from our services". They are SCAMMERS!!! Those numbers they give clients will change as soon as you pay your last $399.50. Please I'm warning you all that this company is no good please I beg you all to save your funds from this company!!!Cornerstone Doc Prep Response

Hello *****, After further review of your account, your payment came back declined twice in a row; because the bank account information was incorrect on file. This was in April of 2022. We tried to follow up with you for 5 consecutive days via email, and SMS, and left voicemails to get in contact and resolve these payment errors. Since we could not get in contact with you, we had no choice but to cancel the account. On October 12, 2022, you called in to re-enroll as a client and continue services. We explained to you the situation and how we would need to update your info in order to activate your account. You read the service agreement schedule multiple times over the phone where it was explained that was the schedule, but the payment didn't draft since the bank account was incorrect. You got upset and demanded a refund for payments that did not draft. The call was disconnected by you. No payments were taken from you. Your account is canceled. Best Regards.Review from Kevyn M
