          In July 2021, BBB investigated the business practices of Cornerstone Doc Prep. This investigation was prompted by complaints and reviews. The complaints and reviews allege that the business may charge an advanced fee and may be providing additional services without proper licensing. 

          On July 26, 2021, BBB reached out to Cornerstone Doc Prep via email to request the following information:
            - Please provide an explanation of your fees and timelines.
            - Please provide copies of sales scripts.
            - Please provide information on the full services that the company offers including document preparation.
            - Please provide a copy of your DFPI license or proof of exemption. If you already have a license and we couldn’t find it, please provide a copy. 

          As of August 2021, the business has not responded to BBB’s request.
