    I have moved away from the location of this chiropractic office. I've been trying to cancel my account by phone for 6 months. They keep telling me that I can't cancel by phone. They told me to go by a local office to cancel. I found a local office and they told me I can only cancel at the location I signed up for. I haven't used this service, I don't live by it anymore, and they are charging me $80/ month and won't stop.

    I signed up for a membership that TheJointChiropractic in Van Nuys on 6/28/21 to take advantage of thier discounted rate for services. I paid cash for the first months. After approximately 2 months, the minimum amount required for the membership, I asked the receptionist to cancel my membership. She first tried to talk me into keeping it, I admire her sales skills, but I insisted to cancel. I watched her type on a computer for a minute then she said, "ok, that's it" Knowing what the contract says about signing a written statement to cancel the membership, I asked if there was anything to sign. She said "No." I asked again confirming that I was cancelling the membership and if I should sign any documents and she said "No" so I went on my way. Maybe I should have followed up with cooperate or the regional manager but that seems excessive to me for something that should be easily manageable. I do not check my bank statement every month and at the beging of March I was checking something else and saw a charge from TheJoint for $80. I remembered the membership and quickly looked up the charges. my bank statement shows that they stated charging my card in Nov. and every month after that on the 28th (Feb being charged on Mar1) when I noticed I went in as soon as I could and brought it up to another receptionist. He was very kind and cancelled my membership for which I signed for and he instructed me to email the general manager, ***** ********, about my concern. I was unable to email her for a few weeks because I left the post it in my car while I was on a work trip for several weeks. After I emailed **. ******** I received no reply for several days until I contacted the cooperate office and left a concern on their webpage. Finally, **. ******** returned my email and confirmed that I was charged in October(my attached bank statement shows I wasn't)and she offered me a 1 month refund because the February 28 payment was made on March 1, and I cancelled on Mar7.
