On 04/03/2021 we purchased a chevy traverse with 73736 miles, from Danns' discount auto.We went in there with $9000 our hard earned savings. We didn't know how our credit was,or we would have gone to a chevy dealership, this was gonna be our first car purchased from a car lot! At this point we really needed a safe reliable family car,our 4th child on his way! The chevy traverse was the best fit, it seats 8!We also purchased a $3000,36 months/72000 miles, whichever comes first, warranty. After bringing it home and been driving we noticed the car was real shaky. Also felt the car shifting hard.We purchased 4 new tires brakes ect. Also got an oil change. That helped a little but i could tell something still wasn't right. So we go to the dealership to let them know. They told us,"well you have an excellent warranty lets get you into our shop!" Since 8/24/2021 it has been in the shop at least 5 times.3 of those times having to ask my warranty to get me a rental or would have been without a car for weeks. The main issues with the vehicle are the a/c and transmission.Along with lots of other findings these issues are reoccurring. My warranty company allows us to go to any certified repair shop, except the fact the parts they replaced have a Warranty,so therefor I have to return to them.Vehicle is now stuck sitting in my driveway. The last time we drove it,we took keys out of ignition to open front door to the house, and the engine was still running! As I was telling a friend the problems i was having he let me know about the recalls the traverse has!Now i feel it is not safe to be driving my family in,but what choice do i have.We put all of our savings into this car. Then come to find out my warranty is tapped out!I have not drove 72000 miles nor has it been 36 months. The warranty company has paid over 18000 dollars repairing this vehicle $1000 is my remaining balance. Its still leaking, shifting hard ,blowing hot air and now stays running with no keys in ignition. Please help us!

I am rejecting this response because:

I apologize I did not respond right away, got locked out of my email. We would like to have our money. It Would be to our benefit to purchase from a certified dealer so that way we are not put in the position we are now!Prior to filing complaint they were avoiding us not returning phone calls. We then went in there. They gave us no options to try and make this fair. Now that they received the complaint, I received two calls from them, should I respond?I'm not sure what to do.

    Dear Mr ******,

I am sorry to hear you are having vehicle troubles. From the last conversation I had with ****** your point of contact which was about 2 months ago was in regards to your vehicle not moving or not shutting off. At the time I explained to her that we needed the vehicle brought in so we could inspect it. I was informed by ****** that the vehicle would be brought in soon since there is still warranty on your vehicle subject to mileage/time verification. The vehicle was never brought in and no further communication was established. If your repair concern lies with an ignition concern there should be enough available in your warranty to cover that type of repair. If this was a transmission concern you still have parts warranty on it, subject to mileage verification which is expiring very soon. Besides your PRCO warranty you still have parts warranty on some of the repairs that were done so the sooner you can bring it in the better. On the occasions that you have brought your vehicle in for service you have been provided a rental from your warranty company and in some cases We have loaned you a vehicle to help out with your transportation needs. If you need transportation during your next visit to our repair shop, we can provide you with transportation while your vehicle is being worked on as long as you continue to meet the requirements for our loaner program.

We have made several attempts to reach you since your BBB Complaint and have not yet heard back from you. If you need to have your vehicle picked up we can also help you with that. Please give us a call @ ************ ask for ****.

    Sincerely,

    **** *******
