Back on October 10 of 2022 I had made an order for a front bumper that, in total, was $666 from VIS RACING SPORT, the order number being #******* on my first ever credit card. I initially already knew something was wrong because I provided my email but never got an order confirmation. I waited about a week or two before i called my credit card company to cancel the order because at this point I had received no confirmation and no way to track the order. Before doing so I called the number provided on their website numerous times and I emailed the emails provided on their website as well. I placed a dispute with my credit card company and the money was provided back however I realized this month I was charged again for it so I called my credit card company. They informed me the merchant provided the proper documentation and when I asked what proof of delivery they could possibly have, they informed me they had a signed paper of mine, so they also forged my signature, so I was charged again. They said they had no way to help unless I provided documentation on my side. I called VIS RACING SPORT and they had said the same thing, that the package was delivered in which I told them it wasn't and I would like to cancel it if possible but they told me it wasn't possible because it said delivered. I asked to have the email of their freight so I could email their shipping company and I've yet to receive a response from them.Business response

I purchased a hood made by VIS racing thru ************. ***** was no help with my issue so I was told to reach out directly to VIS. VIS then told me they will do nothing about the issue. The only offer i got was for me to pay to send the hood to and from VIS to be polished. I bought the $2000 Carbon Fiber hood and within 4 months 3/4 of the hoods finish turned white. Ive brought it to 2 detailers and a body shop and all 3 told me its an issue with the manufacturers finish. The only solution to keep it from happening again would be to have the finish removed down to the carbon and re-clearcoated. This would cost me $800. I find it ridiculous that I should pay anything to refinish a hood that is now at this point, maybe 6 months old. I was also accused of "not taking care of my car". The entire car is flawless black shiny paint with now a faded hood. Ive been trying for months to work something out with them and the only offer I got was for ME to pay to send my hood back and forth to them to be polished. This leaves me with a car with no hood.Initial Complaint

On March 9th 2022, we ordered a ************ hood for $1,676.00 from a company called "*****". Before we purchased this item we contacted the company to ensure that the parts would fit our "2017 **************" and they confirmed the parts would fit our car. Once I received the hood, I noticed it was wrapped in plastic packaging. We removed the old hood from our car and test fitted the new one to see how it would fit, but the hood ended up being to big on some parts and partially covered the front lights of the car. So we removed it and wrapped it back up in its original packaging so we could begin the process of returning the hood and getting a refund. When we first started the return process "*****" was supposed to call the manufacturing company named "VIS Racing" so we can get the return labels, but it took multiple calls from our end for "*****" to finally receive the return labels from the manufacture by then 2 months had already passed. Once we received the labels, I called the shipping company and set a date for them to pick it up ; I didn't want to send the hood back with just plastic wrapping so I wrapped it with big pieces of card board box so it wouldn't be damaged. Once the hood was picked up we waited about a week and finally received an email from ***** saying that we will not be receiving a refund or a replacement hood because it was damaged. I wasn't happy about this so I called "*****" to see if we can resolve this issue, but they kept telling us that the reason it was damaged was because it was not shipped with the appropriate packaging. After that we ended up calling the manufacturing company named "VIS Racing" to see if they could help us, but they ended up being really rude to me ********** and were not willing to help us at all. I also looked at their reviews and noticed that other people have also been having problems with "VIS Racing" the company doesn't want to take responsibility for what is happening. The order number is ********.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/31) */ Our online listing clearly stated this hood does not fit ****** model. PO we got from****** does not say anything about which vehicle this hood is for either. Since this hood is ordered incorrectly, ***** is the one who use their freight company to pick up for the return. We normally would not issue refund if the hood came back damaged, as a courtesy we have issued partial credit less the repair cost for this hood to help out.Initial Complaint

VIS racing sent me a hardtop for a Toyota MR2 Spyder that has defective holes/notches along the edges, near the windows. Personal experience with multiple VIS tops for the Toyota MR2 Spyder, as well as internet search and forum discussions revealed that my top, and at least two others, have these notches while most of their tops do not. I let VIS know about the issue, and they told me to contact the vendor Octane Motorsports. I contacted the vendor and months later received "filler" pieces to fill the holes. Unfortunately, they were not the correct filler pieces and do not fit the gaps or the top. I corroborated this with pictures and email from another customer that VIS had sent the correct fillers to only months prior to my experience. Since bringing up the issue, Fred at VIS as made several attempts to dodge the issue, such as: -Being misleading, intentionally or otherwise, that the notches are normal to fit molding. This is clearly false, because they had already sent me and another customer fillers to attempt to fix it. Why would they send a fix to a non-existent problem? -Referring me to contact the vendor directly, though I've pointed out that the vendor had already told me that VIS was no longer willing to help me, and this is an issue with the manufacture of the product, which VIS is responsible for. -Misrepresenting our conversations in a reply to my Google review of the company, stating that I made demands for them to cover paint, that I told them ALL of their tops are bad. This is not true, as can be seen in the attached email conversations. -Personally admitting that he confused me with another customer that had sent him a "rude" email, implying that I received a different level of service because of this. This is obviously extremely unprofessional. VIS sent filler pieces to another customer to resolve the issue. I am asking that they send the same pieces. I am willing to work with them on this.Initial Complaint

We purchased a ***** Carbon Fiber Hood in August of 2021 from VIS Racing (through Driven By Style) for the price of $*******. When we initially ordered the hood, we were advised the Hood was on its way. Then the next day we were told it was never ordered or on back stock. As we were processing this mix up, we were contacted by a delivery guy (assumed hired by VIS) and told the Hood would be delivered within the next 30 minutes to ******* (place we requested the Hood be delivered to be installed). It almost seemed like we got a different Hood. When installed, the Installer ****** noticed the hood had a defect and small lift. Phone calls were made regarding the hood not fitting properly and we were advised that we would need to file a complaint and that VIS Racing would need to respond since that is where Driven By Style used for ordering the Carbon Hood. The complaint was filed and more often than not, VIS took 2-4 weeks to respond to our messaging. Asking multiple times for photos, blaming us for the damage, hiding behind their "30 day policy", and asking us to perform illogical tasks to fix the defective Hood. We even offered to drive the vehicle to their shop so they can look at the damage. They declined saying they are abiding by their policy. We sent a final letter to them outlining our issue (see attached), requesting they reconsider their position. *************** was very supportive of us and were surprised by VIS and their stand and lack of responsiveness. It has been very frustrating dealing with VIS Racing, their lack of respect, argumentative nature, responsiveness, poor management and unfavorable business practices. We have attached a few of the vehicle photos, and although the damage appears minimal, this is a show vehicle and any out-of-place elements can be detrimental to our professional goals. Thank you, 1-Off CCBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/10) */ The customer insisted that his shop knew what they were doing, and was adamant about everything until we spoke on the phone and I provided some insight on what could be occurring. First off, the timeline is off and intentionally skewed to make us look bad, but the hood was not installed for months after receiving, which the customer admitted to on the phone. Another big issue is that the "lift" was cause more than likely by the pressurized hood struts that were re-installed on the vehicle, when we clearly state not to on our website. The only thing factual in the complaint is that there's an issue, but the details have been altered to look more favorable for them, and that is wrong and deceptive.
