Hello, it appears to us that your review is pertaining to the same service call as the review left by a "Sa M". Please see response to that review as it will explain to you our process and reason for diagnosis of system and charge. May we ask how you came to the conclusion that the parts were not changed out? We provided the old parts that were replaced so that the owner of the home could see which part was replaced. If the homeowner and/or tenant would like to discuss this matter further, please do give us a call.

We had called for an emergency situation. ******** was extrememly helpful getting a tech to the house. BUT, the tech, ******, did not seem to know what he was doing. He came out, took a look at our unit, said he needed to go to ************** Supply to get a few parts. He came back, replaced said parts and the unit was still not working. He threw his hands up and said "Well I don't know why it wont start. You'll just need a new unit. I'll be $6500."I had let him know that I would need to consult with my brother as he is the owner of the house. I also requested an itemized receipt. He emailed me a receipt, but it wasn't itemized. There was no break down of the cost, just a generalization. All it listed was the 3 parts he purchased (totaling $339), the cost of said parts, and cost of labor. Not really a break down of each part and it's cost. After following up with Western Nevada Supply on the cost of parts, they were actually less than $50 total. We were over charged. After further review and a second opinion, we don't need a new ac unit after all. And our second opinion fixed our AC unit within 5 minutes with a $250 part. So we paid ******** $500 for a diagnosis, a parts over charge, and still had an unworking AC. As kind as ******** was as a person, I would not recommend the company to anyone.

This isnt true we got there and found the run capacitor to be reading very low and needed to be replaced. This part allows the outdoor fan and the compressor to get a boost of power to allow it to start up and keep running. We went and got a new run cap, and installed then let the system run. Once it was running our tech noticed that the fan was still making a bad sound and was pulling a high amp draw -more than likely due to the bad run capacitor that was there before so we said the fan motor needed to be replaced as well. You said your brother is a hvac guy down south and he owned the house so you would talk with him and that he could more than likely replace if it was going to be expensive. The service call fee was $150 to diagnose. To go to the supply store and come back then spend time to install the run capacitor then test the systems operations further was the $225 fee, this includes parts and labor, totaling $375. ****** has never and would never "throw his hands up" and exclaim that he doesn't know what's wrong with it then recommend replacement. ****** is a service technician at heart and never stops until he has an answer for why a system needs replacement.  Every HVAC company will have a markup on parts. When ****** quoted $650, that would have included everything already mentioned, plus the replacement of the outdoor fan motor. There is no reason for us to give a customer an unopened box of parts and then charge them for it. If we were to buy a part that was not needed for a job, we would keep it in our inventory for when a need for it arises.
