Rose Hills is the largest cemetery in the ** and has been in business over 100 years. You think if anyone would take care of a family and their loved ones service, it would be Rose Hills right? But the pattern my family has seen is the teams working to put the arrangements together are just going through the motions. They're not taking time to look at small details and take appropriate care of a loved one's arrangements. My family went to Rose Hills May 22 to finalize my grandfather's funeral arrangements. That day we requested the services not take place on my mom's birthday and keep us updated regarding the military honors. We never heard back.Yesterday ****3, a funeral director called asking if we had any questions or concerns before my grandfather's funeral on **** 5.I told her I still hadn't heard back about the honor guardthat was literally one of the only things we asked for.It wasn't until I brought it up we were told the status. The final straw came this morning when I went to visit and spend time with my mom at her grave site for her birthday.I hoped everything would be ok.I told **** Hills her birthday was **** 4(the day before my grandfather's services) and she's buried 3 spots away with dates on her headstone, so everything should be ok right? No way! I show up to my mom's grave with her headstone totally covered in dirt and nowhere to place flowers for her birthday. It felt like a spit in the face to our family. If anyone from the team (planner or groundskeepers) paid attention to our notes or headstones, this could've easily been avoided.I planned to spend 30 minutes at my mom's spot, placing flowers and remembering good times.Instead, that time was spent bringing these issues to the attention of **** Hills. When I told the manager I spoke with this, she said she would try and get someone to eventually move the dirt and give me a call when it was done. One, I shouldn't have to wait long for an issue like this to be resolved. Two, I still haven't been called back!Review from Dai Y

We are greatly disappointed at the slow pace and poor service we received while trying to bury my late mother-in-law's ashes that we brought back from overseas. We have already purchased the location with Rosehills but just needed to make an arrangement .We were told that someone would call ** to confirm an appointment date for the burial, but we did not receive any phone calls for two weeks. Meanwhile our phone calls were never answered ! The interment office does not care about the feelings of people who lost their loved one !Their inefficiency only added more stress and anxiety to the bereaved family .! WHy can't they ease our pain by handling the matter more efficiently !!Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary Response

We are disappointed by the treatment of our family while trying to make arrangements for our father. He passed away on December 30, 2022 in ******, **. December 31 we reached out to your facility to enquire about an affiliate mortuary that *** be able to handle his cremation. We were told by someone that you dont have one and we must find one on our own. We dont live in Tucson and were looking for some assistance since you deal with this type of thing every day.We made our own arrangement in Tucson and had his cremains delivered to our home.To say it has been one of the worst life experiences ever, is putting it mildly. We begin our journey with *********************** January 19,2023, we forwarded ***** all documents for the burial process, including the death certificate. At this point, we requested to have the service take place on January 28, 2023, at 11am. On January 21, 2023, we received word that that date and time was approved and case #********S was assigned and all was good. We were also told that someone in the internment department would be contacting ** a few days prior to service to arrange payment etc.January 24, 2023, we reached out to internment because we had not heard from anyone, and our upcoming service was just a few days away. A gentleman (no name given) told ** that our case was in a bin unassigned. We expressed frustration with the lack of communication and were connected to *********************. At this point, ****** informed ** that she was NOT in receipt of the death certificate that was sent to ***** on January 19, 2023, had NOT received a photo of our mothers marker that we wanted matched to our father, and that the necessary permits for burial had NOT been ordered! We were also informed that services were only held at 9am or 3pm! This had never been conveyed to ** at any other time. There had been many conversations during the weeks leading up to burial and we do NOT understand how the time was approved on January 21, 2023.Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary Response

This review is for the ****************** I will start by saying the ***************** is unprofessional. I paid over $3,000 for my mom's marker and I expected $3,000 service. After all, a portion of what I paid helps to pay salaries. The process is 20 weeks, and one would expect, especially since I asked, to see my mother's marker before it is placed. Via email, the ***************** said they would send me a picture before placing the marker.I emailed AGAIN on May 11th for an update and received an email reply that the marker had been placed on May 9th without my approval. They lied and said they mailed ****** a letter to me. Mailed? Are they kidding me? Yes, they are. Up until this point, everything has been via telephone or email, so why are they mailing me anything and wasting money on postage? Liars. So, I called to speak to a supervisor, ****** (sp?), and left two messages. She still has not returned my call. Next, they sent me a picture of my mother's marker at the gravesite. Rose Hills's ***************** ***** when it comes to professional customer service. My next step is to share my almost four-month experience with the ***************** with the President of Rose Hills and the Better Business Bureau. Two thumbs down for the ******************Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary Response

The contract for mausoleum was sold to me as I can have financial payments and after 6 months of payment I could start using the santuary to lay my dad ashes. After make the contract ( which does not indicate the clause of the 6 months)and 6 moths later, the indicated that that won't be posible as I need to pay the full amount which is it impossible. In top of that, the credit amount was not refunded and credited to buy another land which is non sense as it is o my to be used within 12 moths and does not apply to a memorial service ? I felt scammed and completely disappointed plus losing money and timeRose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary Response
