            I hired Simple Plumbing to replace my broken gas hot water heater. Because the new hot water heater was bigger than the one being replaced, this resulted in the exhaust pipe not aligning and needed to be adjusted to properly vent the heat exhaust up through the roof. Instead of doing the work properly, Simple Plumbing left the exhaust unconnected and hid the gap by wrapping tape around it. I didn't discover what they did until after they took my money and left. I smelled something burning and thought the house was on fire. I discovered that all the tape had melted through and was starting to melt the insulation around the piping as well and that's what I was smelling. This is a safety hazard, that could have resulted in in something more serious if I had not been home at the time to discover what they had done and turned off water heater to prevent further damage to the house. I would like them to come back and finish the job of reconnecting the exhaust pipe. Thank you for your help!

            Work performed was done by prior employee, we were not aware of this situation nor did we receive a detailed message via phone, text, email of what accrued, yes we are more then willing to return to redo her venting section at not cost to her, our desire is to resolve the issue and complete the work properly to ensure she has a fully functional system
