I have been going to this dentist for roughly the last 10 years. Through my insurance I am allowed a dental cleaning once every 6 months free of charge. I received a bill in the mail from Breckenridge Family dental for this service. I called and asked why I received a bill. I was told that my insurance was no longer in their network. I then asked why I was not notified of this. I was told a letter was sent telling me this. I never received a letter from them, or any contact at all for that matter. They said I would be contacted by a manger. I never was. Why would I knowingly go to a dentist out of my network when I am well aware I can get this service free of charge elsewhere? Since then, they have sent this bill to collections. I was hoping to talk to someone in charge as why I was not notified of change in coverage but unfortunately never was.

There is never a guarantee a dental benefit plan pays 100% of any services rendered.  This statement is false. There was a sign in the waiting room saying we went out of network. Letters were sent to all of these patients who had his insurance.   Patient was sent multiple notices to pay, he opened emails of statements that were sent via a manager multiple times, and ultimately after 9 months of failing to pay was sent to collections.  The claim that he gets "free cleanings" is not true.  His dental benefit plan paid 115.20 out of a total of 279.00.  Ultimately our office should have collected that day for total payment and had patient reimburse from his dental benefit plan.

I am rejecting this response because:
Never was notified my dental insurance was no longer in network after 10 YEARS OF GOING THERE. Never heard back from a manager, complete lie.

At this time I would say I have laid out facts.  We have a patient who is refusing to pay for services rendered.  If they have a problem with their dental benefit play not paying that is ultimately the problem between them and their insurance.  Any use of patient names in public domain is a violation of HIPPA. We had 250 patients with this insurance this is the first complaint received.  The patient refused to pay, was given notice to pay or be sent to collections.  They chose not to pay. At this time they can pay the collection agency. It is out of my control.

I am rejecting this response because:

bottom line after going here for roughly 10 years I was not notified my insurance was no longer in their market. I never never received a letter regarding this, or any communication for that matter

I could have received this service elsewhere for little to no money through my insurance. Instead I received a large bill from these people. Super deceitful.

Never heard back from management, only received bills.

over the years place has been sold to others dentists/management and it obvious service has gone down hill
