    I purchased Hunter Douglas PowerView blinds expecting high-quality craftsmanship backed by their **************** Warranty. However, when I reported an issue caused by a mechanical defect in their product, Hunter Douglas acknowledged the defectbut still denied my warranty claim.The blinds suffered fabric damage due to skewing, which was caused by a mechanical failure. Instead of honoring their warranty, which explicitly covers defects in materials, workmanship, and all internal mechanisms, they refused to replace or repair the blinds. Their reasoning? They blamed me for continuing to use the blindsdespite the fact that the issue only became apparent through normal use.If Hunter Douglas can admit a defect but refuse coverage, then what good is their **************** Warranty? Consumers should be aware that they do not stand behind their own products and may deny claims even when their own defects cause the damage.

    I was convinced by Hunter Douglas that if I stuck with their brand vs going with ******'s ****** special, that Hunter Douglas would issue me a credit of $400 towards my order. I agreed to stay with Hunter due to this representation.I submitted the necessary paperwork, and Hunter Douglas acknowledged receipt of the forms required via email. They originally told me to expect a check within 30 days. When 60 days had passed, I inquired again. They informed me that the check was sent to the wrong address.They then stated that a new check would be sent to my home address where I reside, and the install of the new Hunter products was done. I agreed. They confirmed via email that the new check would arrive within 2 weeks.....that was 4 weeks ago.I have emailed and called 2x since, and no response whatsoever. At this point, I have asked my Hunter installer to come back, remove the blinds, and I am going back to ****** to go with my original order. This was a deceptive business practice by Hunter Douglas and has ruined my perception of the brand. I have also filed a compliant with the Florida Attorney General under the Florida Deceptive And Unfair Business Trade Practice Act (FDUTPA). I may never get my $400, but I will get even with them for this egregious act of deception.

    In 2017 we purchased 8 roller shades and 4 of them the cartridge fabric has become unglued, I was told to contact a dealer and they were not able to assist. I called the HD customer service line and they are referring me to another dealer, we paid a fortune for these roller shades and all we are asking is thqt we get assitance on replacing the four roller shades that have come unglued? we paid a fortune for these and with a manufacture initial defect like this why are not rejecting us instead of taking care of their manufacture defect? I have called twice and right now after the lady repeating the same thing tells me there is no supervisor available to help us? i am still waiting on thecustomer service line, its been 26 minutes nobody has come to the line Id imagine they want me just to hang up? 36 minutes and they are referring me to another dealer so I can be put on the merry go round again? This is a customer whom spent a fortune with this company whom does not care to stand by their product and we are located in ********. Can someone from Hunter Douglas help us? All we want is the roller shades to be replaced appropriately with the fabric glued on the cartridge, does not seem as are asking for too much other than what we paid for? Thank You.

    Was unhappy with the product and photos misrepresented the product. Took appropriate steps through dealer who used their rep with essentially no support from the company. Way over priced for a disappointing product and terrible customer service. If youre unhappy, you are just out thousands of dollars. I could have bought a car with as much money as I spent and the shades are the most costly decision Ive made.

    Can I give zero stars? I have the woven ***** and paid over $7k for 4 windows (6 panels total). They are the cordless lift and without exception all of the mechanisms have have had to be replaced multiple times. Last night the kitchen one broke AGAIN. I am furious as this was replace for the 3rd time about 4 months ago. We are gentle on our belongings and uber careful due to the ongoing issues. I lost my *^it and ended up ordering something from the orange box store for replacement and will be riping the rest out. I can't take this anymore??? I have paid close to $800 for repairs as the labor is not icludeded to repair the *** shades. It's causing massive stress in my marriage as my husband is way more vocal about this than I am-and I optimistically thought it would be fixed.Please, please, please, don't give them your business. I have worked with my designer on the warranty each time and I feel, at this point I should be getting some sort of refund from HD for the blinds as they are just flat out defective and they know it's an ongoing issue.

    If the lift system is the issue, your product is covered under warranty. You should contact the store you bought them from and have them contact Hunter Douglas.

    They sell shades that produce a horrible odor. When I called Hunter Douglas headquarters, they said it was a film from our windows that cause the ***** shades to smell, when the window is warm from the sun, and will not replace them. Hunter Douglas knows these windows with this film will cause their ***** shades to smell, however, they dont tell you when you purchase over $15,000 of their shades. I do not recommend Hunter Douglas to anyone for any of their products. This is false advertising and stealing from customers. When you know a product is not going to work with a customers window and you sell it to them anyway, you are stealing money from their pocket.

    Hunter Douglas uses cheap plastic parts. Expensive blind repaired three times in the last year at my expense. Plastic mechanism broken again this will be number four. Better off going to ********** or Lowes and buying a no brand name for a fraction of the price very disappointed.

    5000$ piece of junk. We had the duet blinds in the shop being repaired longed than they were hung in our home. push up, pull down, crack, broken. You have to treat it more delicately than a ******* newborn. should have invested 5000$ elsewhere. Avoid this company, buy blinds anywhere else. we're stuck with this unreliable paperweight. This is unacceptable

    We were sold Hunter Douglas Duete honeycomb shades for a sliding glass door. We were told they qualified for energy efficiency from our rep ******************* but as it turns out she was mistaken and they do not qualify. She is unapologetic and said she thought they were but they are not. Kind of an oops sorry response. I think for the price of these blinds the sales person should know what she is talking about. So be wary of what the sales people tell you. Dont order without researching for yourself- get a bid and then research it. Better yet go to Lowes for half the price.
