On 9/18/2023 my mother *********************** moved into Assisted living at this facility. Five days later she fell over her dog after less than 24 hours of the dog entering the facility. She was transported to the ** with a head injury, and we immediately removed the dogs from the facility. After returning home with me for a week she returned to legends where they again sent her back to the ** stating that she was threatening people and staff along with attempting to break a window. At this point they suggested she would be better off in the locked down memory care unit where they could handle her better. We returned her to the facility the next week after moving her stuff into memory care and out of assisted living. Within 24 hours she had been sent back the ** for hitting another resident. After several attempts from the ** to get her allowed back in the facility I was told she couldn't return without 24/7 care provided by be at a cost of approximately 20k plus the facilities charge. Since this was not possible for her budget, we had her moved to another facility where she has had no further issues. We of course were forced to pay another community fee and another month's rent to get her released from the ** to the new facility. I emailed *********************** twice requesting a refund of some the fees paid since they would not allow her back but have had no response.
