I'm glad I'm not the only one with a complaint. The owner said the new sod was guaranteed for 2 years and the new tree for one year. The tree died. The only way I could get a return call was when I left a message pretending that I needed some new work done. THEN, he got back to me right away. But when I asked him to replace the dead tree because it was under one year, I never heard from him again. No one answers the phone, no one calls back, no one returns emails.So frustrating and unfair.

Hello,
We did give you a 2 year warranty on the grass. However we never warranty trees. Out of good faith we did offer to replace the tree at cost and waive the labor fee. There was a family emergency that has come up and has put ** behind. Below I have copied and paste the proposal that was agreed upon that does state the new sod came with a 2 year warranty however nothing about a Tree warranty.

It was wonderful meeting with the both of you yesterday. We actually just had an opening come available this Wednesday, if you like the quote let me know and we will get you on the schedule.
First we will remove the existing 187 square feet of dead grass as well as 3 inches of existing soil. We will then install 1 cubic yard of planters mix (half manure and half compost) this will help with the long term health of the new sod.
We will then be installing 187 square feet of ***** Blend Blue Grass (Required by the water department)
* The sod comes with a 2 year warranty.
Grand total $845.00
We will be removing the existing dead tree in the front yard and install a new 2 inch Spring snow crab apple tree. This will be the best looking tree for your front yard.
We will also be building the brick wall around the tree as we talked about
