    Have the foresight to avoid HIndsight electrical LLC(my opinion)I am writing to the BBB to let you know about an experience that I had with Hindsight electrical. It involves incompetent work undertaken, sexual induendos and harrassment, in my humble opinion This incompetence caused myself and **** to be very upset and *** will try and gaslight this situation that it was our fault that we were displeased with HIndsight to create a situation that turns the blame over to **** and I..This can be intimidation to the customer and this tactic tends to blameshift the incompetence that Hindsight executed over to the customer. All of the comments below are backed by evidence and cameras in the kitchen *** the owner of Hindsight had a conversation with me intially and indicated that tradespeople can treat me differently because I am a woman and I agreed. *** has repeatedly defended (his employee) with anything said to him. As a matter of factJon goes to great lengths to blame the customer instead of his employee. It appears to be a learned Gaslighting skill in my perceptions. This issued are provided in the upload..     Good morning,

    -It is imperative to the story to know that we were the second electrician she called for the kitchen remodel and most of the rough wiring was done before we even showed up. The first electrician quit and we were never told why. While under contract with us, she brought another unlicensed electrician in to work on the double oven because we could not be there at a moments notice. This electricians work had to be redone and my license was at risk because of this. All ********************** work was done through permitting with ***************** and we provided her with a certificate of insurance as well as our ***************** License. All inspections passed and we completed the work we were hired to do.

    -As detailed in the picture uploaded by the customer titled, "Unsafe box placement" you can see that the box was originally over the counter space but she extended her cooktop from 30" to 36". This required us to relocate the outlet from behind the cooktop. Her backsplash was already done, meaning the tile guy had to come make repairs. The tile guy charged her extra money, we did not. We relocated the outlet free of charge so she could get the house on the market. She wanted us to reimburse her for the cost of the tile guy but we refused as it was her responsibility to provide us with accurate equipment details, something a general contractor typically does, however, she fired her general contractor.

    -I requested her to give me a price for the panel several times and was never given a price, she wouldn't even confirm the offers I passed along. The panel is used and was installed by the previous electrician but was too small and would not allow for the amount of circuits she had. This panel could not be sold to another customer or used in any fashion other than temporary power. Because the price had never been confirmed, I did not take the panel. On the last service call to replace a breaker, she gave the panel to one of my employees and then harassed me for payment. She finally sent an email demanding $500 for a panel that costs $218 new with basic breakers. The breakers in the panel are not even afci or gfci, just regular breakers at around $4 each new. I offered to return the panel and now she has explained I am not allowed near her property and not to contact her.

    -I can also provide backup or our text conversations and the information she left out, however, I am under a time constraint that I was unaware of before I started my reply.

AROUND THE HOLIDAYS..*** WAS NOT AVAILABLE SO I WAS ABLE TO GET A LICENSED ELECTICIAN SUPERVISE A LEARNING ELECTRICIAN TO INSTALL A DOUBLE OVEN AND *** WAS SENT A PICTURE AND HE SAID IT WAS FINE BUT I REALIZED THAT IT WAS INSTALLED UNSAFELY SO I HAD ****** REINSTALL IT. ****** EVEN SAID THIS ELECTRICIAN TRAINEE DID A GREAT JOB ON THE OUTLET THAT ****** INSTALLED IN THE WRONG POSITION

    BLAMESHIFTING AND GASLIGHTING IN MY OPINION IS HOW THIS OWNER OPERATES AND EVEN THREATENS TO DO DAMAGE TO MY PROPERTY SO HE WAS GOING TO HAVE SOMEONE COME WITH HIM

    EXPLOITING WOMEN ALLL WHILE EMPATHISIZING WITH ME THAT IT IS HAPPENING IN THE CONTRACTOR WORLD IF VERY CONCERNING

    I WANT MY LAST INVOICE AMOUNT RETURNED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND MY PANEL MAILED TO ME AS I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY SAFETY WITH THIS COMPANY AND ITS EMPLOYEES.

    *** as you can see by the text messages confirmed that he would pay me for the electrical panel then changed his mind after I paid him his final portion. I don't feel safe with *** being on my property after he indicated that he would have someone with him so they could verify that he didn't do any damage to my property. Why would anyone even suggest this other than to indicate that he wanted to do damage to my property but would have someone there to make sure he didn't.

    *** does not make any responses to the broken cabinets and improper install of the *** outlets verified by his brother ****** stating that they weren't installed correctly by his coworker and there was nothing he could do about it.  So we had to foot the time and effort to bring it to working order.

     

    We were very tolerant of  *** and paid him a lot . We were toleratnt of his staff even at the extend of me having to feel sexually harassed by one of his employees. I didn't say anything and I felt violated as a woman just trying to make sure the project was being done correctly. Todays contractors, at least, some of who I have dealt with have shown to me as a woman that we have to be very careful in that we are not taken advantage of ...financially etc.

    Summary-I don't want Soul anywhere near my property and if he does come close to my property...***************** Police will be notified due to sexual inuendos that were not appropriate.I still want financial compensation for the *** outlets, broken cabinets and replacement of the tile after they did not ensure the outlet was safely installed......this was a very unsafe install and I was so embarassed that after I paidover $5,000 that they left with me with a situation that an electrical wire could of caught fire on the gas cooktop.I had to point it out the INSPECTOR AND THEN HE DIDN'T PASS IT.

     

    I would never use this company again as I am so embarassed being told the electrical tester read hot when it was put on my skin by his employee and I was in a small contained area. I feel ashamed and I can empathize with women that have to put up with this just to get throught life and remodels in the mainly MALE world. Please MAIL THE ***** WITH ALL OF THE SWITCHES THAT WERE ORIGINALLY THERE AS I HAVE A PHOTO OF IT.

    This busines owes me an apology and financial compensation after I found out that they did not install the breakers in  my panel correcrtly....I really worry about the quality of their work that has not been picked up by other professionals.He thenTell us why here...

    I am happy to mail back the panel. I have this already packaged up and we packaged this up the day we received the first complaint. I have attached photos of the panel before we originally removed it from the house, and again before we packaged this up.

    I am rejecting this response because: He did not meet me partially. The panel is MINE so while it may appear to the BBB that he is compromising...he is doing not such thing. HINDISIGHT WAS REFERRED TO ME BY MILE HIGH PROPERTY BROTHERS.  I already paid for the panel with a prior electrician and *** had agreed to pay me for it...what I paid. SO HE ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO SEND ME THE ***** AS THIS IS MY PROPERTY. I HAVE TO COMPROMISE BY NOT GETTING FINANCIAL COMPENSATION FOR IT NOW BECAUSE HE WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT PAY ME FINANICALLY FOR IT AS PREVIOUSLY AGREED AFTER HE WOULD NOT PHYSICALLY RETURN IT EVEN THOUGH I WAITED FOR IT FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. Then threatened that he needed someone with him so he would not damage my property.

    I am rejecting the response because he is not compensating me for anything in regards to the broken cabinets by his electrician, improper installation of USB outlets and unsafe electrical OUTLET facilitating...me having to pay out of pocket to have the tile removed and replaced BECAUSE OF...  Hindisight.

    Also no apology has been issued at all for the inappropraite sexual inuenndo from his employee. I have been very reasonable and tried to get along even if a large amount came out of my pocketbook. *** is very selfish and I hope people learn from this.

    This will be progressed further due to this misbehavior of the owner and employee of Hindsight.

The BBB helps women in not getting ripped off with contractors that can easily exploit womens lack of knowedge of the construction world as even discussed by this owner as a way to throw me off of WHAT HE was actually doing....SO SAD

    I contacted the BBB recently over several weeks ago about this company. *** the owner told me he would buy the electrical panel I had from a previous electrician. He indicated he would pay me for it....*** agreed to the BBB to send the panel to my address. *** is making fun of the BBB by not following through with his agreement to the BBB. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE ***** YET. I now want financial compensation of $500 for it as well as the remainder balance he owes me for incompetence electrical work...see previous complaint to this company. Please make this company stop making fun of the BBB...See recent interaction with the original complaint...Please help me with getting this seen through. Also please advise what to do next with this contractor to stop him from repeating this with other people. I wish I never met this company.

    I have not sent the panel yet as last communication made it seem she was still unhappy even with our statement that we will gladly mail her the panel. BBB recommended we send the panel back and we still have the panel boxed up but I am unsure what to do or where to send this panel. When we were performing the work for her she mentioned she was selling her home. I do not want to mail the panel to the incorrect address. She asked me not to contact her so I am following her wishes but still need more information to proceed with sending her the panel as she asked. Please provide an address for us to mail the panel to. All work was completed under permitting through ***************** and all work passed inspections. Thank you!

    I am rejecting this response because: To the BBB...this company is making a mokery of your process. *** from hindight and his brother ****** know the mile high property brothers. I was referred to Hindsight throught the mild high property brothers.. I am not sure the mile high property brothers would approve of this businesses practices. *** knows where I live and he in an email reported to me that he needed to have someone with him to drop off the panel..inferring that he had a potential intention of harming my property. You can refer to this in an email in my previous filing to the BBB. In conversations with ***.....he knows inspectors miss things. As a matter of fact...I neeeded to point out a unsafe electrical outlet behind the gas stove to the inspector which did NoT pass inspection. ****** then needed to reposition the outlet which ****** looked at prior to the inspector coming to inspect the property. Then another HVAC company pointed out that Hindisght electrical even though I paid this company over $6,000 did not install a dual breaker for the hvac system which was not in code. *** admitted that inspectors miss things ll the time but this does not indicate that a company should get away with unsafe practices especially in the world of electrical work. A reminder of porr workmanship

    1. Out of code electrical outlet not mentioned to homeowner

    2. incorrect mapping of electrical panel

    3. 2 outlets that required blanks all because of poor workmanship taken over by Hindsight

    4. Broken kitchen cabinets that were never offered financial compensation by Hindisght

    5. Poor installation of USB outlets on the kitchen island requiring me to get done by someone else....because Hindsight woudl not fix Souls work

    6. Inappropriate sexual innuendos by Soul the worker

    7.Outlets not put in the correct position even though tub was could be measured in the garage in the upstairs bathroom

    8. Theft of elecrical outlets without homeowners permission

    Summary-Several employees complained about Sould the worker and his workmanship was poor at my home. ******....***** brother....is a mechanical engineer so I am not sure he is an electrical engineer?

    *** can easily look up if my home sold and this is a good example of what is happening behind the scense at this company in my humble experience.

    I am rejecting this response because: First of all...thank you BBB as I did receive my electrical panel back this morning but it was damaged on the side as I had much difficulty opening it. This panel was mine from a prior electrician and ***************** was given months and month to ship it to me but he chose to hold onto it and this is a big delay to get my personal property which he put in a text that he would pay what I paid for it but never kept his word and even delayed sending it to me as you can see by the communication below. This company was paid over $6,000 for electrical work which accumulated in broken cabinets and incorrect install of usb outlets on the kitchen island. I needed to put up with inappropriate sexual inuendos because trades are lmitied in staff and companies can use variuos forms of leverage over the customer presently. Jons staff also admitted that Soul seemed to be a problem because we brought it up to them and this was multiple people. When we discovered incorrect elecrical mapping...we got really worried because of the potential to get electrocuted if you assumed the mapping was labeled correctly....a safety issue! Because hindsight left an electrical outlet behind a gas stove...I had to pay around $500 to get the tile removed then replaced because of this error. The install of the outlet near the tub had to be relocated because it was put in the wrong area....this was easily seen if you measured the tub and the wall but there was not mention that they would reimburse me for this. Having a hvac tech tell me that there needed to be a dual breaker installed after hindsight had put in a single breaker.....alerted me to more safety issues.  This company i am very worried that they could be possibly cutting corners and this is electrical work if not watched. *** did not expect me to have a hvac tech out to look at the panel and it is only because I did this that i found out that they did not install the correct breaker. Later *** admitted that it was not available yet did not tell me the customer yet expected maximal price. The *** outlets were installed incorrectly after **** did this and jordan...Jons brothes said he could not fix what Soul did...so we had to get this taken care of on our own.  I want compensation for all of the time taken and potential safey issues that company chose to perform. *** even sent a drywall referral that did not want to just give me a drywall quote but instead voiced that he would fix it after he bought my property....this is occuring in the contractors world because women are the easy target because they are not familiar with the in and outs of the trades. I am asking for my prior amount due to the fact that he promised to pay me for the panel as well as the remaining incompetence in the work performed requiring lots of stress and having to fix what they did wrong. Also ****** took an outlet from my property and I had him return it then this leads to "what else did he take"...he went through my entire house to do the elecrical mapping..he obviously feels entitled to my property as evidenced by holding onto my panel necessitating a reach out to the BBB. Thank you so much BBB....I would love to go into arbitration if possible

    Each time I try and access the website for have arbitration properly described...the link did not work then the website was down....Could you please provide an alternate way to access what the definition of arbitration is?

    My understanding is that a 3rd party mediates and that is all that I know ...it avoids the court process and hopefully provided an agreement is what I understand

    If that is all that is known then I want ot enter into it as I am worried about this company and its safety standards
