    I opened a savings account with ***** on April 4, 2023. In September of 2024 I received a letter indicating they were closing my account because it was dormant. They changed me $10 as a dormant account fee. I didnt receive any communication leading up to this action to suggest they were going to close my account. If they are going to close my account they should cut a check to me instead of keeping my funds. I do not recommend this bank as they are not ethical.

    After 13 months without activity, an account will be considered inactive or dormant.  A letter was sent out to the address we have on file asking you to let us know if you'd like to keep or close your account. If you've moved since opening the account, it's possible we didn't have accurate contact information for you.

    Jan. 2023 I enrolled in autopayments (2 each) regarding the loan serviced by AAFCU. 1 year (12 months) of the 2 autopayments per month were successful. January, **** mysteriously one of my autopayments disappeared. Thankfully, I realized this had occurred via reviewing my bank account statement. I went online to view my account and discovered that one of my two monthly autopayments had disappeared from the "Autopayment" list. Mind you, I had only visited the online dashboard a few times until today. I called and spoke with a representative. She informed me that my payments on the 5th of each month were my only autopayments, and that my payments made on the 21st of each month had been manually submitted monthly. I asked for a screen shot or the documentation for this claim, as it was false. Either their system is not accurately displaying information from one program to the next, someone is manipulating the data, OR there are liars in the midst. I am fortunate I caught this faulty (or dishonest) issue prior to having incurred a late fee or other issues. I have attempted to cease ALL autopayments and have "Bill **** handled by my personal bank. However, as AAFCU has things set up, there is no way for a bank to make payments to AAFCU other than mailing them a check. (Which is not an option due to the other consumer reviews - too many shady matters have been disclosed in prior reviews on this company for me to trust that a check wouldn't mysteriously disappear!) I'll wait the days required in order for me to resubmit a request for TWO autopayments, as I had done initially in January 2023. However, I WILL be preparing myself to conclude this business relationship asap.(In addition, my trust in BBB has taken a significant hit. Shame on you for giving this business an A+)

    I apologize for the frustration with getting payments set up on your loan.  Unfortunately, your loan is not being serviced by AACU.  We provided the funds, but your loan is externally serviced by Upstart.  I wish we could assist you with the payments but unless you are enrolled in our online services and have accounts with us, we have no way of assisting you with payments coming from a different financial institution.  The borrower support line for Upstart is **************.

    Again, I am so sorry for the frustration this has caused.  I have also reached out to Upstart with this information so they are aware and can hopefully rectify this situation.

    Never, ever, ever use Air Academy Credit Union. I went through them for an auto loan, and regretted every single interaction since. Their website is chronically buggy, often requiring me to call their support line and ask for assistance, explaining my issue and on 3 separate occasions getting a response of "That's so weird. It must be a bug on the website.They make it deliberately difficult to pay ahead - including several multi-day steps to ****** complicate the process. It's -deliberately- done to discourage users from paying off loans ahead of time. Additionally, once I paid off my loan, I requested that they remove me from all communications, both concerning my closed accounts and all future marketing. When I received a marketing email, I attempted to unsubscribe and their website refused to allow it. THIS IS ILLEGAL. I called the company to complain, again insisting they remove me from all communications. They assured me this would happen. Since that time, I've received almost monthly marketing letters, to which I've called and vehemently accosted a call representative to remove me from letters. This has happened on 3 separate occasions. And today, I received another letter. Stop. Listen to customers. When they do not want your terrible service, stop selling to them. Stop sending me letters.
