I hired Earthwise in July 2024 for construction dumpster of ******************************************************************************************** statement of payment by email. When asked what I was putting in the dumpster I replied, construction waste, concrete. I was told that I paid for 5 tons of weight and that anything above would be $60 per ton. I asked how I was supposed to know how much weight was in a dumpster?? They told me that if I fill up the dumpster I received to the rim of the dumpster with concrete that would be 5 tons. What then happened is that I filled the dumpster full of concrete with a skidsteer. Some dirt and other debris of course went into the dumpster as well. I filled it to the rim and potentially 1-2 inches above. The driver went and dropped off the dumpster and then returned it to me to fill again within a couple hours. When the driver dropped the dumpster again I was not told anything about the load he had taken or anything concerning the dumpster or the packing at all. Then I filled that dumpster up again the same day.Three days later I was contacted by earthwise saying the dumpster was overweight and I owed them additional money. The two dumpsters cost about $400 each, a total of $800. They said that with the overage the cost was now $2,477. They said it cost more because they couldn't recycle the concrete because it was mixed with other debris. Never was I told that it was going to be recycled or to only put concrete into the dumpster. Then the overage charge was now $120 a ton because it wasn't recyclable. None of this information was given to me when I bought the dumpster service. I would have been happy to separate the concrete and not put dirt and other debris into the dumpster, but I had no idea that was what I was supposed to do. Fast forward. They said they were sending it to collections, and then this morning, no warning, no permission they charged my cc $1680.43 fraudulently. This is an unethical business.

Your account calls and data have been reviewed. It is important to clarify that when we asked for what type of material would be put in the dumpster, the only information we had received was for concrete (which is recyclable, resulting is lower disposal costs). There was no mention of "construction waste." "Construction Waste" in general, usually includes things like drywall, insulation, nails, rebar, wood, dried plaster, scrap metal, bricks, etc... The material involved with these rentals inhibited mainly dirt and crumbled concrete and some general trash. The amount of dirt in the container far exceeded the standard amount dirt that sticks to the concrete (which the facility will still accept as that is inevitable, but with this amount of dirt they cannot just spray it off with a hose). It is very important to let us know what you're putting in the dumpster when we ask for this information so that we can accommodate the best price possible. No one can estimate the weight of what you have, especially through the phone. We have general guidelines to provide recommendations, however we cannot be responsible for estimating weight over the phone. To address your concern with the invoice, our software shows that your invoice was generated and sent within minutes of each other. If you did not receive your receipt/invoice, you can contact us right away and we would be more than happy to send it in an alternative method, if necessary. We have offered discounts to you multiple times to try to help out with the situation and these offers were either ignored or declined.
