Beware of this company! The work they did could have burned my house down and was NOT to code (owner acknowledges) and won't refund my money.This is going to be a long post so I'll put the most serious part at the beginning. In 2019 I had Handyman Connection do an electrical job for me (installing ceiling fans and wiring those to a light switch). While there was a number of issues with the install cosmetically, the real issue just came to light a few weeks ago when I had another electrical company (one that I trust - Karsten Electrical) over to do some different work. During that work, he found that Handyman had spliced a bunch of wires in my ceiling and shoved the wires under the insulation to hide the work. This is 100% NOT to code, and in the process of fixing it, ******* had to install 5 electrical boxes because all of the wires were spliced so far apart. I reached out to ***** (owner) and sent her pictures of the work that violated electrical code, and while she acknowledged that they did the work and that the work wasn't done correctly, I wasn't under their "1 year craftsmanship warranty" so wouldn't do anything for me. I'm completely disgusted and apparently the fact that the employee is "no longer with the company" is supposed to make it ok. Nevermind that I spent hundreds of dollars on a job that could have burned my house down, and the electrical splices were directly above my 2 kids' bedrooms.The remainder of the work/story is far more cosmetic in nature, but ultimately none of the work they were contracted to do was done correctly (minus that they bought some material?? but even the ceiling fan boxes he bought weren't correct which is why they weren't centered correctly in the room).Handyman Connection of Golden Response

We certainly understand the frustration you have at electrical work being done incorrectly. While we can't verify the faulty wiring was from our work five years ago, we offered to come back and make the necessary repairs for you at no charge. We had a contract with them. A handyman came to start the work, but then needed to get some supplies. When he found out that something needed would be back ordered, they sent a text stating that they were not coming back that day, even though the lacking part did not impact other work contracted. They handyman also left a mess. They then sent him back later to clean up the mess, but nothing else was done. When the part came in they couldn't schedule a date when we would be home before that handyman went on vacation. They sent someone else who completed some of the work, but then said they couldn't do anymore and would not return calls or text messages after that. They continued to state that someone would get back to us, but no one ever did. We're still waiting (2 months later) for that response.Handyman Connection of Golden Response

*****,we're extremely sorry this happened. After some digging, we've learned that the Project Manager for your project completely dropped the ball here, and since we were never made aware, that led to us dropping the ball, as well. We've let this member of the team go, as this is an unacceptable practice. We know how much the members of our community count on us to complete their home projects,and again, we apologize for this experience. We will be reaching out to you directly so that we can work toward a resolution. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention.

They are great to work with, respond to service requests very quickly. The service tech today was ****, and he did a wonderful job repairing a kitchen drawer and replacing a lock. He made sure both were done correctly and made sure I was happy with the work.Review from Sharifa L

I was very happy and satisfied with the way the handyman connection handled my drywall issue. Then when **** came out to look at what needed to be repaired, he explained well what he thought I needed and listened carefully to what I said I wanted done! They do not pay their guys and hide behind their company when confronted about non payment and disorganization. They lead new employees on for entire month before any kind of real work gets scheduled and just when you think you got a pay check worth having coming they string you along and pay you in increments and give excuse after excuse as to why my money hasnt been deposited. ***** is a real pleasure to do business with I would call anyone else to handle your project this place is a mess.Handyman Connection of Golden Response

We have been in constant contact with you about your inability to turn in time sheets so that we can pay you in a timely manner. You have another family member that also works with us, that has no issues at all with sending in timesheets and getting paid properly. You also took several weeks off for another job while you were working with us and when you returned, we discussed that it can take a week or two to completely fill your schedule. We stand by the service we provide to both our customers and employees. Please call the office if you still have concerns about pay, which we take very seriously. Love the ease of booking service, approving scope of work and making the deposit. All personnel were friendly and sincere about helping. **** was great to work with, was very conscientious about cleaning up after the job was done, and did a great job of fixing my drawer and putting batteries in my smoke detectors.
