            Problem: Three scheduled attempts by my shipping company to pick up a piece of furniture I purchased from Bruhns from their warehouse in ****** to deliver it to ******** where I live. Purchase price was $3000, and in addition I paid a buyers premium of $690 to Bruhns. I spoke with a representative of Bruhns on 6/22/22 to inform them of the shipping company I hired and to identify the piece of furniture to be picked up, and I agreed to have the shipping company give Bruhns a week or two of advance notice so that Bruhns would have time to locate my piece in their warehouses. First attempt to pickup, with scheduling in advance on 7/22/22: person from Bruhns who met my shipping company told them that the person in charge of the keys to the warehouse was not there. Second attempt with advance notice on 8/1/22, no one was present at Bruhns to meet my shipping company. Third attempt on 8/9/22, same result as attempt on 8/1 - no one present at Bruhns to meet my shipping company. Representatives of Bruhns do not reply to emails and phone calls from me or from my shipping company. The only national shipper Bruhns recommended could not deliver the piece to the inside of my house, only drop it at the curb. The piece is an antique and fragile. I do not want to pay my shipping company to show up a fourth time only to have the same thing happen again. I am at a loss as to how I can get my furniture from Bruhns and get it delivered to ********, so I am contacting BBB for your assistance to get this resolved.

            We have been trying to get a hold of the trucking company you choose. They dont answer their phone. They use spam phone numbers to call , and speak in a foreign accent. Your piece is in storage at my expense for 9 months . Not part of LiveAuctioneers purchase agreement. When the trucker arrives get only stays 20 minutes states the company. The warehouse manager says they only stay 10 minutes, **** when they know we on our way. Let me know how I can help, *** Bruhns

            I am rejecting this response because:

            The response does not offer a solution. I am faced with conflicting accounts from the business and my shipping company, each blaming the other. While I am surprised by what the business says about the shipping company I hired since the same shipping company with the same staff person coordinating the job picked up a chaise lounges from ******* Auctions in Palm Beach and white glove delivered it to my home in New York without any delays and with no misunderstandings between shipping company and auction house, I will put my prior experience with the shipping company aside in order to resolve this and get what I bought delivered to me. I propose that the business recommend an alternative solution in lieu of continuing the dysfunction between the business and the shipping company I employed. Although I have already spent $1000 on the shipping company I hired for this job, is there a national shipper the business works well with that offers white glove delivery to ******** (meaning the shipper unpacks and places the piece of furniture in my home, versus leaving the package at the curb)? The business previously recommended Craters and Freighters for delivery of this piece of furniture and I spent some time and effort trying to get that to work, but ******* and Freighters ultimately told me they could not do white glove delivery. If the business will recommend a shipping company able to white-glove deliver to ******** whom they can work with successfully, I will consider hiring that shipping company to do this job.

            Im not sure what finish the job means. I am still storing your piece. It is not my job to hand carry the sofa the sofa to your ******** apartment. Im going to lodge a complaint to LiveAuctioneers for you not picking the piece 10 days after the auction. *** Bruhns
